It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Diana Lynn Youngquist. She departed this life on December 22nd, 2025 in Sidney, MT at Sidney Health Center after a long and hard fight against cancer.
Diana was born on November 7, 1953, in Sidney, MT to Edith and Norman Laughlin. She grew up in Pompey’s Pillar attending school in Lockwood, MT. She spent her summers in Sidney with her grandma Lydia and loved and cherished all her time spent there.
After school she moved to Sidney and in 1973 she met the love of her life, Larry Youngquist and they were united in marriage in 1975. Two short years later she gave birth to their daughter Shannon and the in next year their son J.C. was born. She was deeply devoted to her family routinely packing up the kids to go and spend a weekend with Larry while he worked in the oil field, hosting summer BBQ’s, or helping her mother-in-law plan one of the many holiday gatherings with all the family and extended family attending. She loved spending time with her in-laws Dean and Claudine Youngquist, fishing and camping with her family and spending time with all the friends that she made along the way.
Diana spent the early years of her married life working at IGA where she made many lifelong friends that stayed with her even after she retired in 1997 to start working with Larry at their family business, Custom Fencing and Welding Inc., and spend more time with her family and grandchildren. She absolutely loved being a grandmother and cherished her grandkids, spending as much of her time as she could staying home with them and spoiling them. She cherished her summer trips with her grandkids and was always planning the next one before the one they were on even ended. As the grandkids got older, she and Larry enjoyed their time watching them rodeo and play hockey, volleyball, band, football, swim team and cheering all of them on along the way. During this time, she also became a Jafra representative that led her to make many more lifelong friends and gave her the opportunity to travel.
Throughout her years, she touched many lives with kindness, generosity, and a warm spirit. We have been so blessed to have her in our lives and there will be a hole in all of our hearts where she had such a big presence.
Diana is survived by; her husband Larry Youngquist; children, Shannon (Myron) Neuberger and J.C. (Kim) Youngquist; her grandchildren, Tucker (Aquilla) Heller, Jazmyn Sletvold, Garrett Youngquist, Lauren Youngquist, and Emma Youngquist; great-grandchildren, Violet Heller and Hutchinson Heller, sister Polly (Ron) Jones, in-laws Norma Holland, Diane Sorenson, and Bruce Youngquist; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
