Grief Resources
Grief is a natural human response to death and loss. Its pain is real and is best dealt with naturally. The body and mind will allow us only to deal with what we can handle, often overwhelming at times, Its affects and intensity will lessen in time. But, you know your life has changed and it is that change that we now need to learn to live with. Allow time, there is no quick fix to grief recovery.

Over the years Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home has developed their own grief resource library and those materials as well as many donated resources have been cross-referenced with the Williston Community Library to assist the funeral director and the client family in aftercare services for the grieving. Lending a confidential listening ear can be very helpful for the families served. All of the licensed staff has experience serving the grief stricken; although not certified in the fields of psychiatry, sociology, and grief counseling their 125 years of combined funeral service experience can obviously provide a helping hand.

Your Church and minister can be a great help, a close friend, or someone who has had a similar experience, grief counseling, and grief support are all healthy places to look for support.

Grief Shared is Grief Diminished.
