It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Michael Anthony Lewis Waddell
November 17, 1994 - March 25, 2026

Place of Birth: St. Augustine, Florida
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 31

Michael Anthony Lewis Waddell left us on March 25, 2026. This man was extremely conscientious and very able to do anything he turned his mind to. He was introduced to drumming in high school and his interest in music took off from there. He could not only play drums but was proficient on guitars of all kinds as well as vocally talented. He was able to use technology to enhance his music. While never having any formal training, he wrote and created the music and lyrics for his own songs. He sang and played in local bands, but his interest in hard rock pretty much isolated him from the country western music scene in Eastern Montana. Mike was looking forward to moving to Idaho with his much loved father and hoped to use his musical talents there. When he graduated from Sidney High School, Mike worked in the oil field as a roustabout and dispatcher. After his stint in the oilfield, Mike trained as a Transportation Security Agent for the Sidney Airport and more recently he worked for a specialized fire safety security company.

While working, he also became certified in cyber security and was beginning classes from MSU Bozeman to further his abilities in that area. Mike expected a lot of himself in those jobs and claimed he got his work ethic from his father. Unlike many people in an area that does not abound with youth friendly activities, Mike never turned to drugs or alcohol for entertainment and was the first to lecture younger kids on the stupidity of using. Mike loved family, kids and animals, and wished to someday have a family of his own. A loving person, Mike would often share money and food with friends who were going through a rough patch even if he had to sacrifice his own comfort in order to do so. In that sphere, he also helped his Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Dennis whenever he could over the years.

Mike developed a great sense of humor and said he was determined to get back to living by some body of water so he could “just chill” while wearing a Burger King crown. Pretty sure he is doing that right now. Mike never ended a phone conversation or said good bye without adding an “I love you,” so Mike we won’t say good bye today, we will just say we love you.

Michael, You brought so much joy and laughter into our home every time you were there. We love you and miss you so much but I know you are free from all the pain of this life and you are resting in God's arms. Me and Willie will always cherish how you called us mom & dad, that meant so much and we will hold to all the memories we made as a family. Fly high son, you have truly earned your wings.

My dearest Michael, You will forever be loved and forever be remembered by that big beautiful smile of yours. How it was always your main goal in life to keep others around you smiling and laughing. Your talents was unmatched, your voice so powerful and strong! You was my bestfriend and a huge part of my life. I will mourn for you everyday and miss you like no other. I will forever love you, always and forever from the depths of my heart you will remain.

To the other half of my braincell, my protector, my brother. Maybe not by blood but choice. I will love and miss you til the day I die. You stumbled into my life and made it so much brighter each day I got to know you and I will hold onto that love and light forever. Thank you for being my best friend and for making me laugh and smile every time I needed to lean on someone. Until we meet again.

The words I have cannot by condensed into a short message like this but I would just like to say how much I loved Michael and how much I cherished the times we spent together when we were bandmates in Arbitros, a small Sidney-based metal band from 2014-2015. He was such a unique character and brought so many laughs and smiles to my life. His voice, antics and witticism live in my head rent free and forced to smile when I recall the natural comedy he exuded. Aside from being perhaps the funniest person in my life at the time, he was also an incredibly insightful mind, politically and activist minded and on top of that, an immensely talented musician, surpassing all of which I had spent years attaining as a then college-taught musician. I played my first real shows with him behind the drums, those of which would cement my path from there on. I would not be where I am nor would I would remain in my field today if not for his contributions and impact and I am certain I am not the only one who shares that perspective. I will miss him dearly, thank you for all of the great times. Endless love and eternal blessing to you and your family.

Michael, I was so happy to have gotten to know you thru Bre'ana. I saw true love when you told me that you and her were destined to be as you called her your beautifulqueen. I was glad you had decided to stay and try to work it out with her, but I am lost on the ending of this. Bre crashed hard and is lost without you. I can still see your beautiful smile as you sat at Sunnys watching her work the last weekend we all saw you. I have a million questions but we are all left without answers. I know Bre'ana and her family miss you dearly and wish they could've been there for your home-going service, but didnt have choice. I know you are resting with God now and are at peace with life. Michael, you were a kind soul that every one will miss, especially Bre'ana and her family. You left too soon my friend.
