Wesley “Wes” Ryan Green, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 75.

He was born on September 1, 1950, in Miles City, MT, to Roland Green and Cora Schell, joining his older brother Ron. He was later adopted by his grandparents, Clarence and Elizabeth (Betty) Green.

Wes proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 as a Vietnam veteran. Not long after returning home from Vietnam, Wes met his wife, Kristy. They were married on August 9, 1975, and shared 51 years of marriage together.

After leaving the Army, Wes began a long and hardworking career. He worked as a truck driver before discovering his passion for baking. He spent 25 years as a baker, working for Buttrey’s in Billings and Miles City, Montana, and Economart in Williston, North Dakota. His years as a baker were a testament to his dedication, work ethic, and pride in doing a job well.

Wes later returned to the road, working for Herman Oil, which later became Thomas Pilot, as a propane driver for 15 years. Whether behind the wheel of a truck or working in a bakery, Wes was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for those he loved.

Outside of work, Wes enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved hunting and fishing, spending time outdoors and making memories along the way. He was also an avid fan of old Western movies, with John Wayne being one of his favorites.

Wes will be remembered for his years of service to his country, his dedication to his family and work, his love of the outdoors, and the many memories he leaves behind with those who knew and loved him.

Wes is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kristy; his children, Crystal Green of Williston; Ryan Green of Williston and his sons, Braiden, Donovan, and Weston; Nicole (Nick) Jones of Williston and their children, Austyn and Calvin; sisters Cindy Hulse and Denee Feist of Miles City, MT; sisters-in-law Carri Green of Mesquite, NV, and Denise (Jim) Linnell of Venus, TX; brother-in-law Kevin (Sheila) Krausz of Miles City, MT; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wes was preceded in death by his mother, Cora; grandparents Clarence and Betty Green; brother, Ron Green; father- and mother-in-law Clarence and Janice Krausz; special aunts and uncles Ruby and Paul Keniv; and Dick and Evelyn Green.

Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
