Sandra Faye Hart, passed away on July 20, 2026 with her children by her side. Sandra fought her battle with COPD and Lung cancer with grace. She was at the Sidney Health Center when they took great care and concern for her.

Sandra Faye Hart was born to Clarence and Alice Hart on May 17, 1951. She joined her two siblings Elmer and Laura Hart. Her parents had the Old Coral Cafe. They lived at 708 3rd St SE all her life growing up. She had many friends from school and the neighborhood. Her Freshman year of high school she became a cheerleader, and worked as a car hop at the A&W restaurant. Sandra changed the spelling of her name to be different and that is how she also became know as “Sandye” with an ‘E’ after the ‘Y’.

Sandye had two children, Aletha and Gino Charlie. They spent most of their younger lives in Sidney. Sandye worked at the South 40, as a waitress. She worked for Arnie and Lola for fourteen years, making the South 40 her second home. They also spent a lot of time on the farm with her mother and step father Leo Hackley. The Cherry Creek Farm was the place to be with family and rest.

Sandye moved to Billings, MT with her children where she worked at Hennissey’s in the mall. She helped many women with their fittings from breast cancer. She was so honored to be apart of their healing journey. She also worked at the Cattle Co. restaurant in Billings.

Sandye lived in California with her son Charlie. She moved back to Sidney, MT in the early 90’s where she could enjoy being a grandmother. Sandye had five grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Always telling them “Once Upon A Time” stories, giving them brown paper bags at Christmas (The brown paper bag was given to her as a child at Christmas from an old friend of the family), she was very sentimental. Everything had a special memory to her. Sandya loved God, Jesus, and her scriptures. She always had a room with her chair and Bible called her “Prayer Room” where she would study her bible and make notes.

She always had dinner parties, movie nights and sleep overs with her family. It was important to her to keep a beautiful home and always invites others to come visit. Sandye followed her daughter to Powell, WY, where she worked at Blair’s as a Clerk. She would put notes on the receipts of her customers, a scripture to read or even just a smiley face. She took the time to really get to know her customers. You could always tell which til she was at from the long line of people just waiting to see her.

Powell, WY is where she met the love of her life Walter Johnson, and after many notes they finally started to court. They shared many adventures together. She later moved back to Billings, where she worked at a variety of places. She was near Pioneer Park, where she offered those on a walk a drink or a popsicle treat for their dog, always enjoying their company.

Sandye always said she was a type of gypsy moving to different places. No matter where she was, she always had a beautiful home and lots of friends. She made her way back to Sidney, MT to live with her daughter Aletha. She worked at the local NAPA as a Clerk. She was very happy to be back in her hometown. Every Saturday she would bring cupcakes to her co workers and customers who became her NAPA family.

Sandye loved her son, Charlie who remained in California. They talked on the phone every day, becoming the best of friends. The phone would ring and she would say “that’s my Charlie”. She surrounded herself with pictures of his adventures; hiking, skiing, kayaking, and his cat Pookie.

She also loved her grandchildren, sending special packages to each of them always telling them “You are my favorite.” Giving them all a special place to her and letting them feel her love for them. She loved to sew, there was nothing she couldn’t sew together. She was a great seamstress and also had a loved to garden. She planted flowers and “a little magic.” When it came to style, Sandye had great taste. She was always putting outfits together to look sharp, she loved going to the thrift store.

One of her favorite things to do was care for the outdoor critters. While she lived in Billings squirrels would come up for their peanuts. When you met her, it was easy to get along with her and become friends. She was always so kind and loving to all and will be greatly missed.

Sandye Faye Hart was preceded in death by her father Clarence Hart, mother Alice Hart, sister Laura Kern, Brother Elmer, great grandson Jace Wubban, great grandson Reid Wubban, and her dearest friend Walter Johnson.

Sandye is survived by her daughter Althea Hart, son Gino Charlie Cordova, five grandchildren: Mike Wubban, Bailey Willard, Patrick Voss, Ceanna White, Mackenzie White, her four great grandchildren: Kal Wubban, Kailee Wubban, Rhett Willard, Aurora Alice Willard. Many Nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank the Sidney Health Center for their great care of our mother. All of her friends and family for your prayers, support, flowers, cards and visits while she was in the hospital.

As mom would say “Thank you for the visit.”
