Betty Ruth (Topp) Grubb, age 95, of Stanley, North Dakota (formerly of Tioga, North Dakota) passed away on June 22, 2026 at the Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley, North Dakota.
Betty was born in Grace City, ND on January 26, 1931, to Roy and Minnie Topp. She graduated from Grace City High School in 1948 and from NDSU-Fargo with honors in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science degree. While at NDSU, she was a member of the Gold Star Marching & Concert Band playing the flute and belonged to several organizations during her time in college.
After college, Betty taught Home Economics in several states, eventually teaching at Tioga High School in Tioga, North Dakota, where she met her husband, James.
Betty and James were married in the Grace City Methodist Church on December 26, 1967. Following marriage, they settled in Tioga and raised their son Tony. She was active in several organizations and maintained the books for the family farm. She crafted many projects for the Tioga First Lutheran Church bazaar, which were sold for the benefit of the church.
Betty is survived by her son, Tony (Jackie); and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, James Grubb; parents, Roy and Minnie Topp; brother, LeRoy Topp; and several nieces and nephews.
