Luanne Christensen, 94, of Williston, ND passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at the Bethel Lutheran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Williston, ND.

Luanne Claire Cole Christensen was born to Kenneth and Bernice (Bee) Cole on April 3, 1932 in Winnett, Montana, graduating from High School with the class of 1950.

Luanne went to Montana State College in Bozeman, MT and Montana Deaconess Hospital, in Great Falls, MT. Graduating with a Degree in Nursing in 1955-1956.

She met Verne Christensen and they were married in Great Falls, MT in 1956. To this marriage are 3 sons, Roger, Kevin and Les.

They lived on the farm out of Westby, MT then moved into town. Luanne worked at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood, MT. They moved to Williston, ND where she worked at Good Samaritan Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and Western Dakota Clinic in Williston, ND until retiring in 2006.

She has been in Bethel Lutheran Home since 2024.
Luanne is survived by her sons, Roger (Kathy), Kevin (Sheila), Les (Patty) all living in Williston, ND; grandchildren, Wendy and Wade, Krystal, Lane, Kyle and Lacey, Katelyn and Kurtis; 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vern Christensen; brother, Klynn Cole.
