Elmer M. Imhoff, 98 of Sidney passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Sidney Health Center Extended Care, Sidney, MT with his family by his side.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather. Brother. And friends. A cherished soul, Elmer M Imhoff, 98 years old departed from this world on Sunday [February 22 at 6am at Extended Cares Sidney MT] surrounded by loved ones.

Born on [9-10-1927] in [Hebron, ND]. Raised in New Leipzig, ND, Elmer lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and generosity. He was known for his generosity, unwavering spirit, compassion for others, and the ability to bring joy to everyone he met. Love for his family.

Elmer taught 1st-8th grade before he enlisted in the Air Force for three years. (1951-1954). Moved back to New Leipzig after his discharge. Moved to Billings where he met his wife, of 60 years Vonamy Vincent. He had three children Connie, Ronald, and Bobby. Worked as a manager at Saunders Luber Yard (40yr) until he retired for the first time. Then moved to Shield, ND and bought a community center and bar. Elmer Retired 2nd time and lived there for ten years (1995) then he moved to Sidney, MT (1995) till his meeting with the Lord.

Elmer love basketball played it in High school. He loves playing games (Marbles and cards games). Elmer supported a baseball team in the Shield, ND. He loved playing pool, cards, Aggravation, and going to the senior center in Savage. He loved having big BBQs and cooking for the neighbors, friends, and family. His favorite sport was fishing. The last thing he did was go fishing with the Lord.

Elmer is survived by Connie (Imhoff) Sturgis, Son Bobby Imhoff, sister Donna (Imhoff) Cates brother-in-law Kenneth Cates. Elmer had 6 grandchildren Nicole Sturgis Jenson, Steven R Sturgis JR, Stephanie Sturgis, Miles Sturgis, Patience Sturgis, Eric Imhoff. One great grandchild, Sheldon Miller. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his Wife Vonamy (Vincent) Imhoff, parents Emanuel and Magdelina Imhoff, son Ronald Imhoff, brothers Arvin Imhoff, Wilbert Imhoff, sisters Viola (Imhoff) Mildred (Imhoff) Iszler and niece Carol Iszler Hirschi.

Service Will be held in Laurel MT at the veterans burial grounds. Time and day will be announced.

Though Elmer has left this world, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him May he rests in eternal peace.

So sorry to hear of Elmer's passing, we used to play pool at the shields bar when he owned it. had always a smile and friendship to offer you. Journey well my old friend.
