Dane Paul “Dagger” Martinson, of Tioga, North Dakota passed away on December 8, 2025 in his hometown at the age of 63.

Dane was preceded in death by his father, Delford Martinson.

Dane was a great guy and will be missed by so many. I got to know him through him bowling with my husband in Williston. He had a contagious smile and was just a genuine good guy. So sad to hear of his passing. Thinking of his family

Dane was a remarkable man, I was lucky enough to be the one that put an end to his life longer bachelorhood of 37 years & we spent 12 years together, even through our darkest times we always came together and stayed good friends. He was a wonderful father, he loved Drew & Laken more than anything in the world & taught them all the skills of his favorite activities.
He was the such a social butterfly, spending every Wednesday night either bowling or golfing. He could fly across the country and still have someone call out his name & have to catch up with him.
He loved deer hunting, and despite my nagging he still spent every day of the season scouting for the perfect buck & waiting for the last day at sundown to get it.
I am honored to have been a part of his life for so many years & sharing two wonderful kids together.
He will be missed by so many & remembered by all. His spirit & personality lives on in Laken, who is just like her dad, and could always crack him up & bring a huge smile to his face.
Til we meet again Dane Paul.
Love,
Michelle
