Dalenne D Schmidt
December 24, 1956 - December 4, 2025

Place of Birth: Greeley, CO
Residence: Williston, ND
Age: 68

Dalenne Schmidt, of Williston, ND passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at her residence, with her loving husband by her side.

Dalenne was born on December 24th 1956 to John & Gay Laney in Greeley, CO. Her parents moved with Chevron several times, as she was growing up, to Gillette WY, Glenburn ND, and then to Plentywood MT. She graduated from Plentywood High School in 1975, and then attended beauty school in Billings MT for a year. She then moved to Minot ND, and found a job with Fischer Motors, working as an administrative assistant. That is where she met a parts man named Tim Schmidt, who always found a lot of reasons to need stamps from Dalenne, for mailing orders. The relationship improved to the point of the formation of Dalenne & Tim Schmidt Inc. on April 22-1978. Dalenne & Tim wandered in the spiritual wilderness for about 17 years, when they were exposed to a creation based teaching, that changed their lives forever. Teachings that taught reading the Bible regularly and taking its’ words literally, not allegorically or figuratively grabbed their attention and changed their thinking. Anyone who talked to Dalenne, knew that she believed in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and in Jesus the Messiah of all mankind, and that all gentile believers owe a debt of gratitude to the Jewish people, because the Holy Scriptures were entrusted to them, to present to the world, and the Messiah (and Savior) came into the world, born of Jewish lineage. Her passion was seeking to expose Jewish people to the saving message of Messiah Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew, which means “God is salvation”), as we are commanded by scripture to bring the Gospel (Good News), to all people, to the Jew first and then to the Gentiles. She was committed to transcribing the DVD teachings of a Jewish believer in Jesus, Arnold Fruchtenbaum, for use in a teaching series about Old Testament prophets and teachers, to participants to use in their individual study of scripture. Her progressing health problems were the only thing preventing her from continuing in this task.

Dalenne & Tim Schmidt Inc. was dissolved on December 4th 2025, and she went to be with her Creator and Savior. She always believed that heaven is a place of indescribable beauty, as described by the apostle Paul, and she was unafraid of her coming death. Her BFF and husband Tim knows that he will be reunited with her, ending this time of separation, with the Rapture or his death, and both look forward to the Messianic Kingdom and the Eternal Order to come.

She is survived by her husband, Tim of Williston, ND; brother, John Laney of Clarkston, WA and his children, Patrick, Chris, and Sara; brother, Brad Laney, his wife Teresa of Vernal, UT and their children, Jared, Josh, and Jordyn, all of Vernal.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Gay Laney of Plentywood MT; and sister-in-law, Joni of Wolf Point MT.

Please pray for her husband Tim’s peace of mind, during his time of grief and acceptance of Dalenne’s death.

Tim, I am so so sorry for your loss. What an incredible person Dalenne was. Tammy brought us together. I just treasure our four hour coffee visits. What a gift Dalenne’s friendship was to me. Her great faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was an inspiration. A small message seems really inadequate. This isn’t goodbye Dalenne. But I will see you later. I will be looking forward to our next visit over coffee in heaven.
