Brandon Alan Hunsucker was brought into this world reluctantly on September 4TH, 1983 to his parents Rogine and Edwin. He was only 10 days late in arriving. He was later joined by his siblings Reed and Haleigh.

Brandon was always an adventurous kid and loved being outside with his brother Reed, running around on the ranch, riding bikes far and wide, and hunting whatever they could find. One time Brandon, Reed and those Wammen boys, Jay and Jess, came into the kitchen carrying a bunny they had caught!

Brandon loved his Saturday morning cartoons, WWF and not too far into his childhood he discovered the amazing game of FOOTBALL! He never really did say why he picked the Buffalo Bills as his team but given the age he was at that time we guess it had something to do with living in Buffalo, SD and the Bills being from Buffalo. He was a diehard fan and never ever waivered. He always wanted someone to watch games with him and Mom was his “lucky” companion for most games. He did get his own little “Bills Gang”(Blake, Cale, Dusty, Garth, Chance) that watched games at his house, they had a routine that never changed where everything they owned, that was Bills memorabilia was on display and nobody could touch any of it or the Bills might lose! He would dress up his sister in Bills attire, and one of her first words was TOUCHDOWN!

Brandon attended Harding County Schools and graduated in 2002. He was a true athlete and participated in football, basketball, golf, and track. He had great success and his family loved watching him play the games he loved so much, but none more than his Grandparents. Grandpa Roger took up the football chain gang so he could have a front row seat. His senior year he qualified for state competition in all four sports. He did not go out for track until his senior year and decided on a whim to do the triple jump of all things, but he qualified for state. Brandon was always proud to wear #23. Just before his senior year he came home with a tattoo, along with his best friend Jay, a flaming basketball up the side of his leg. Neither of them were old enough to get that tattoo, but they were both so cool!

Brandon started his college career at Black Hills State then after an incident that involved the track at BH and lack of clothing his mom thought it best he move to Chadron State College for the fall of 2003. Brandon graduated college in 2007, the same day as his Mom, both with same degree from CSC, he probably did not think it was as awesome as his mom did!

In 2004 the very first love of his life was born on July 5TH, Reese Ann. He was so excited and told his Mom, “can you believe you are going to have a “girl” Brandon in this world, it will be so awesome”. Brandon and Jeana made themselves a family in 2006. The light of his eye, Raelee Marie, sprung onto the scene August 26TH, 2008, she was definitely his little side kick and loved her Daddy. In 2010 Brandon’s mini me and chip off the old block, Ryder Alan joined his sisters on September 2ND. There is no doubt that this boy was made in his Dad’s mirror image. These three wrapped themselves around Brandon’s heart and he loved them beyond measure. Brandon totally embraced the Dad scene and loved teaching his kids all about sports, his love of his community, state (because South Dakota is God’s Country), and the nation. He went as far as putting astroturf in his backyard for the kids to play on, or the indoor basketball hoop so they could practice all year. One of his greatest memories was taking his family to Buffalo, NY to the Bills stadium and the opening game of the 2019 season, it was a trip for the record books! Brandon was at his happiest when watching his kids do all things, he never wanted to miss anything. He had a great pride in seeing them grow and their talents emerge. He was so very proud of each of them and all they have accomplished whether it be in sports, education, or life in general.

Brandon was a skilled and talented individual. He was very creative and loved to craft in his mom’s garage with the kids every chance he got. He was also gifted in wood working and made several pieces. He was very precise and liked to make sure everything was perfect. He brought those talents to his landscaping business and created many beautiful lawns for families. He even had his siblings work with him off and on. Brandon and Reed were a force to be reckoned with when they set their minds to completing a project. He even taught Haleigh so much about sprinkler systems that to this day she is the sprinkler guru at her house, changing out heads and winterizing the entire system. He also enjoyed a game of North Dakota rummy at Grandma’s house, one cold Christmas night, with no power we all played by candle and cell phone light until 5AM. It got a bit chilly, but nobody seemed to mind. In 2010 he moved back to Buffalo to work in the oilfield. He held many positions throughout his career and was currently working for an exciting start-up company based out of Italy. He was enjoying the new challenges this position provided and was looking forward to the opportunities he was given.

In 2022 Brandon met the love of his life Adaline Martinez. He told his mom after his first date that she was the one! Adaline and Brandon made their home in Watford City, ND. They had purchased a home and as Brandon did, he created a beautiful place and yard for his family with Adaline’s help. He was blessed with bonus kids, Cruz, Mia, Marcy, and Liam. He found joy in sharing his life with them such as golfing with Marcy and Adaline and football and fireworks with Liam. He may have worked some magic and gave the universe a few more Bills fans.

Brandon had a true love for his family, friends, church, and country. He volunteered his time freely. He was the best birthday wisher on Facebook, he left out nobody with his signature HBD! He was instrumental in getting the baseball fields cleaned up and restarting t-ball and little league for the kids in Buffalo. He was also very proud of the Harding County Baseball team he had for one year; it was a great memory for him! Brandon got further into sports when he decided to become a referee. He did so in North and South Dakota, reffing football, basketball, and softball. He also enjoyed coaching, serving on the church council and the city board.

Our lives will be left forever with a hole that cannot be filled. We will move forward and carry on knowing that we have a special angel watching over us all. Thankful for having shared his life are his children, Reese, Raelee, and Ryder, Fiancé’ Adeline, stepchildren, Cruz, Mia, Marcy, and Liam, mother, Rogine, stepfather, Gene, brother, Reed/Nicole, sister, Haleigh/Bryan, step-sister, Charlene, grandparents, Roger and Larine, nieces and nephews Henry, Tatum, Reid, Rhett, Kennedy, Rowdy, and Landry. Aunt Charlie/Uncle Jeff, Uncle Heath/Aunt Crystal, and cousins Alyssa/John, Airen/Daniel, Ashton/Nick, Ace/Katherine, Slate, Emerald, Journey, and Jazlyn. Numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and Rowdy (his faithful dog).

Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Clarence and Sena Hunsucker, cousin Elodie and his two bestest 4 legged buddies Ruger and Remi.
