It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Lois Marie Standish-Hale
January 7, 1959 - September 6, 2025

Place of Birth: Watford City, North Dakota
Residence: Bismarck, North Dakota
Age: 66

Our beloved Lois Standish-Hale was born on January 7, 1959, and on September 6, 2025, she made her journey home.
She married the love of her life, Leonard Hale, May 5, 2015 in the courts followed by a traditional celebration on May 23, 2015. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and family.

Lois earned her Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development from Fort Berthold Community College in 2003. She went on to dedicate her career to educating young children, serving in various roles including Head Start teacher, kindergarten teacher, the Baby Face Program, and paraprofessional. Throughout her years in education, Lois played a vital role in helping build a strong foundation for the youth of the Mandaree community.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing four hand and horseshoe tournaments, picking plums, going to the casino, attending powwows, traveling, fishing, and making frybread. She cheered proudly for the Vikings, and even more proudly for her family as she watched them play sports. Her home was always filled with music and her cherished vinyl collection was a reflection of her deep love for it, which also included her love for ND22.

Above all, her heart belonged to her family. She adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, who brought endless light and happiness into her days.

The heavens are having their reunion as Leo and Joyce’s last child has made her journey home—a journey that was surely a wild one as she was reunited with her beloved Standish siblings.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories that will live on in all who knew her.

Lois is survived by her children, Lloyd (Daniela); Dianna (Keith); Dion (Michelle); Fred (Jamie); Charles (Lindsey); Jordon (Chelsea); Gordon (Marie); grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Joyce (Bearstail) Standish; husband, Leonard Hale; brothers; sisters; nephews; and nieces.

To Louis, my deepest condolences go out to the family. You will be missed always. For I will not make it to your services. One thing I always remember when yall stayed across
the street from the Mandaree school, and you always cheering on the Mandaree warriors no matter if it was a bad season or good season, good game or bad game thank you. When it time to go back home to god. It always hard for everyone, but all the worries of the wold are no more Louis.
At death the spirit shall return to God and the body to the dust of the earth, Eccl. 12:7
