Ronald Dale Snyder
September 4, 1963 - July 13, 2025

Place of Birth: Alpena, Michigan
Residence: Sidney, Montana formerly of Bay City, MI
Age: 61

Ronald Dale Snyder, 61, formerly of Alpena, Michigan, passed away on July 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family in Sidney, Montana.

Born and raised in Alpena, Michigan, Ron lived life on his own terms from the very beginning. Whether it was shooting BB guns at the neighbors with his brothers, fishing along the banks, or just stirring up harmless trouble, Ron’s wild spirit was always on full display. He later brought that same energy to everything he did—working hard, loving deeply, and laughing often.

Ron worked as a laborer for LaFarge Corporation in Alpena, MI, and was never one to sit still. He had a gift for mechanics and a passion for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was always tinkering, fixing, building, or creating art with his hands. Even in quieter moments, Ron filled the air with his favorite rock and classic country music.

He was happiest in the company of his daughter and her husband Angela and Anthony Gibbs, and his grandchildren Ashton, Journey, and Phoenix, who were the lights of his life. In his final days, he spent cherished time with Angie, sharing stories, music, and laughter.

Ron is survived by his daughter and grandchildren; his brother Mark (Sandra) Snyder; his sister Brenda Snyder Peck; and Shelly’s 3 sons he helped raise during his marriage to Shelly Humphrey in 1988—William (Bill) Hungo, Eric Rota, and Cory Rota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avis J. Clewley and Darwin C. Snyder; his siblings Kevin Snyder, Bryan Snyder Sr., and Rhonda Corpus (Snyder); and his nephew Bryan Snyder Jr.

Ron’s legacy is one of laughter, resilience, and deep love for family. Known for his sharp wit, endless sarcasm, and generous heart, he was always ready with a joke—or a prank—no matter the occasion. He loved meeting new people who shared his hobbies and found joy in tending to his garden and helping wherever he could.

In keeping with Ron’s wishes, there will be no public funeral. A private family service was held, and he will be cremated. As he liked to joke, his final resting place will be "playing pranks on his daughter” a fitting tribute to his mischievous and unforgettable spirit.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
