Place of Birth: Sidney, Montana

Richard DuWayne Reidle, 50, passed away on June 15, 2025, in Williston, North Dakota. Born on January 21, 1975, in Sidney, Montana, Richard lived a life full of energy, generosity, and connection.

A proud graduate of Fairview High School’s Class of 1993, Richard carried the values of his upbringing into every corner of his life. Whether working the land or strumming his guitar, he brought passion and authenticity to all he did. Farming was more than a livelihood for him—it was a way of life that grounded him and connected him to his roots.

Music played a central role in Richard’s world. He loved singing and playing guitar, often becoming the heart of any gathering. Known as the life of the party, Richard had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcome. He never met a stranger and was always ready with a warm smile or a helping hand—often quite literally offering the shirt off his back.

Richard cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his son Trent Reidle; daughter Chloe (Reidle) Quick and her husband Tanner Quick; stepchildren Jordan (& Kyle) Frates, Kathryn (& Joe) Schwochert, and Jace, JayLynn and Rykia; and his eight beloved grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. His love for family extended deeply to his siblings Elijah Reidle and Kelsey Reidle; father and stepmother Loren and Tami Reidle; stepbrother Doug Walker; and aunt Cheryl Yadon; uncle Perry Dennis; aunt Loretta (John) Berry, as well as numerous cousins and friends who were touched by his generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his mother Donna Dennis; grandparents Ernie & Elsie Carstens and Herb & Aggie Reidle; godparent Earl Reidle; uncle Kenny Reidle; stepsister Angie Thunker; and uncle Dale Reidle.

Richard’s presence lit up every room he entered. Whether grabbing a beer with friends or sharing stories around a bonfire, he created memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
