Donald grew up and was proud to call Crosby, ND his hometown. After graduating from Crosby High School in 1952, he joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War into the Vietnam War.

Donald met the love of his life at the Lakeside Café where she was a waitress; and fed him daily and never stopped. Donald and Rogene were married October 5, 1959 in Sidney, MT and began their life and family in Williston, ND.

On full retirement they settled in Spring Hill, FL. Returning to Williston because of health issues.

Donald enjoyed volunteering and working with the hockey club and baseball concession stands. But the center of Donald’s life was his family.

When we get to the end of our lives together, the house we had, the car we drove, the possessions wont matter as I had you and you had me.

Losing a family member is never easy, and I would like to say the hole left in the souls of family members left to grieve will get smaller over time. But it still hurts.
Rest in peace Uncle Don, we'll always remember you.

I first met Don when I went to work at Amerada Hess in 1976. I was always impressed with his pleasant demeanor and his willingness to help out the new guy. He loved explaining what he was doing to the wells. Sincere condolences to Rogene and the entire Ralph family! RIP Donny!
