Thomas Russell Dishon was born December 6, 1957, to Delbert and Rosie Dishon in Williston, North Dakota. He was raised in “The Best Place on Earth,” Buford, North Dakota, where he went to school before graduating from Trenton, North Dakota.

Tom married Gretchen Gunsch in 1980, and they had two children: Anthony Thomas in 1981 and Stephanie Loy Marie in 1982. Tom and Gretchen later divorced.

Tom met Brenda Gowen in 1994. They married in 1995 and enjoyed a happy marriage until his passing.

With friends spread far and wide, Tom loved his family and friends but had a very special love for his grandchildren.

Tom left us suddenly on March 6, 2025 at his home in Fairview, Montana.

He is met in heaven by his parents Delbert and Rosie; parents-in-law Bob and Bertha Gowen; infant brother Danny; nephew Dan Dishon; brothers-in-law Bruce Dahl, Jerry Gowen and Randy Gowen; and sister-in-law Debbie Dishon.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Brenda; son Tony Dishon and his son Blaiz; daughter Stephanie (Brandon) Tofte and their children Braelynn, Brantley, and Audrey; sister Jan; brothers Bill, Bob (Kim), Tim (Vicki), and Terry (Luci); brother-in-law Bill (Yvonne) Gowen; sister-in-law Marci (Sam) Haines; and the mother of his children Gretchen (Harve) Kimm.
