Shannon Osvold, 56, of Tioga, ND passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 at his residence in Tioga, ND.

Shannon was born March 28, 1968, to Harris and Kathleen (Brothers) Osvold in Tioga. He attended Central Elementary School and graduated from Tioga High School in 1987. Shannon, Ozzy to his friends, earned an associate degree in diesel mechanics from the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton. Shannon loved working on cars, collecting vintage neon beer signs, and spending time with his many friends. He loved his dogs, Wesley, Homer, Bart, and Dozer, who he cared for the past two years. He helped to look after his father after his mother’s death. He was famous for the food he cooked and grilled, and he became the keeper of the family potato salad recipe. Shannon was funny, kind and generous, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

I am so sorry to hear about Shannon. I was so blessed to have been right next door growing up. The times that we shared together are charished memories that I will never forget. Shannon was the kid on the block that could fix anything and was our person that we could depend on when our, motorcycle, snowmobile, bike, car broke down. He had a heart of gold and was quick to help anyone in need. He will be missed but his laugh and childhood memories will live on forever. May he rest in peace with all those that have gone before him!
