Boyd Eugene Haugrose, a man of resilience and strength, was born on April 9, 1941 in Redwing, MN to Elmer and Grace (Ottman) Haugrose. As a young child he was orphaned, losing his father to a workplace accident and mother to breast cancer. He was then raised by different family members until he completed High School.

Following high school, Boyd married Dianna Klingler, and together they welcomed a daughter, Debra Haugrose. Unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce. Boyd then married Janet (Wandler), with whom he had two sons, Jerome and Jon. After the divorce of Boyd and Janet, Boyd found love again and married Margaret (Schadler). Margaret brought her children Jeffrey, James, and Mark into their blended family.

Boyd pursued a career as a master electrician, finding his niche in the oil field, a profession he cherished deeply. His work took him across the United States and even to Colombia. Known as a stern but fair boss, Boyd was highly respected by those who worked alongside him. He held immense admiration for the talented individuals who worked for him, always ensuring their well-being and support.

His hobbies included photography, woodworking, and being outdoors surrounded by mother nature, especially while riding his motorcycle. Every time Boyd saw photos of his grandchildren, he was reminded of just how blessed he truly was. Their presence brought him immeasurable joy and served as a constant reminder of the love and legacy he had created.

Boyd passed away on Sunday, May 12th, at CHI Hospital in Williston, ND.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Dale and Duane; sons, Jeffrey Jacobson and Mark Jacobson.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Debra (Ed); sons, James (Sandra) Jacobson, Jerome Haugrose, Jon (April) Haugrose; grandchildren, Michael (Addie) Hanson, Mitchell Hanson, Sean Jacobson, Jeremy (Dawn) Jacobson, Jayde Haugrose, Josh (Olivia) Haugrose, Kolton and Braydon Haugrose; great grandchildren: Wyatt, Lainey, Riggin and Ryder Haugrose, Marcus Jacobson and Brittany Frolich.

In his life and legacy, Boyd Haugrose exemplified resilience, strength, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. He leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
