Tina, was so sorry to hear such sad news. Really got to know Glenn when he started out as one of my District Commanders and both you, Glenn and getting to know the boys were such close friends as he went through his steps to Natl Vice. Just that day that we got the sad news, a memory popped up on face book where we were together 4 years ago for the National Conf in DC. Truly great memories. Our sincere condolences from Ruby and I.

I was distraught when I heard of PNVC Glenn’s passing. His dedication and perseverance to reducing suicides of our nation’s veterans was admirable. Long before the “Be the One” mission was started, Glenn was advocating and providing awareness to the community and nation to eradicate this ongoing issue. He will be sorely missed by many. Prayers to his family and friends during this trying time.

I was fortunate to spend time with Glenn in his final days. He had a great relationship with the Legionnaires from Iowa, and we always enjoyed his company. We spent many nights talking Legion and even more sharing sea stories. I have nothing but fond memories of him and our conversations together. My sympathy to Tina, his family, friends, and the Legionnaires of ND. Rest in peace, shipmate. We have the watch.

How does one begin to describe one Glenn Wahus. He was a treasured son, brother, cousin, friend , father, proud veteran , and husband just to name a few I’m sure. I was 7 when Glenn was born. Being close families, we spent every moment we could with our cousins. Whether we were visiting them or they were visiting us. Glenn was the tag along to Dale, Sonia and I. He always did his best to keep up niot wanting to be left behind. He was little brother to all of us. In later years, after moving from ND to Idaho we still tried to keep in touch through phone calls, Christmas cards , family reunions and visits when he and his brothers and friends came west for fishing trips. Having him stop at my house was a real treat. Watching him marry his sweetheart, Tina, and raise their wonderful boys was so heartwarming. Glenn loved his family and was always up for anything “they” were involved in. He got his boys and Tina into the family tradition of lefsa baking and gardening like his father did before him. Glenn loved to garden and was very proud of his green thumb talents as well he should be. Glenn was also proud to be a veteran and an exuberant supporter and advocate for our wonderful veterns. He worked long and hard for them. He was also a proud Norwegian and loved the heritage of family he had been blessed with. There are just so many, many people who were touched by this kind, humble man. He will never be forgotten. I love you Glenn.
