George Kenneth Jasper
May 17, 1955 - February 19, 2024

Place of Birth: Glasgow, Montana
Residence: Maricopa, Arizona
Age: 68

George Kenneth Jasper, 68, of Maricopa, AZ, formerly Culbertson, MT, entered eternal rest on February 19, 2024 after a valiant battle with cancer at his home surrounded by family.

George was born on May 17, 1955 to Robert and Pauline Jasper in Glasgow, MT. He grew up hunting, playing football, and working with his dad and farmers all around Culbertson. After graduating from Culbertson High School in 1973, he worked at the safflower-crushing plant. George was always known as an incredibly hard and smart worker, and quickly took on more and more responsibility at the plant. His last many years at the plant he served as the superintendent. Having only one job never seemed enough to keep George busy; he also worked with Gary Rassmussen towing vehicles, Kevin Martin farming, and his dad moving entire houses (a skill he used to move his own house into town). After leaving the safflower plant he also taught high school shop and worked in the oil fields driving trucks and managing a salt water disposal site.

In 1985, George met Darlene Harmon, the love of his life. They enjoyed 37 years of marriage together and raised their four children: Jennifer, Melanie, Rako, and Travis. George loved his hometown of Culbertson, MT and spent time hunting, going early mornings to coffee with his coffee crew, you know who you are, volunteering at the fire department and ambulance crews and helping neighbors throughout town.

In 2021, George retired and relocated to Maricopa, AZ to spend time with his family and especially cherished his time with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, fishing, walking several miles a day, tinkering in his shop, organizing his gun room (just in case of a zombie apocalypse), back-roading in his RZR, and admiring the beautiful Arizona sunrises and sunsets and vacationing to Mexican beaches.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Jasper; his children, Jennifer (Michael) Cameron, Melanie (Brad) Rapp, Rako (Melissa) Zech, & Travis (Amber) Zech; his twelve grandchildren, (from Jennifer) Jennessa and Kennedee; (from Melanie) Tyler (Madison) and Austin; (from Rako) Samuel, Kara, Libby, Peter, Emma, and Luke; (from Travis) Nora and Janick; his two step grandchildren, Mackenzie & Grace (Mike); and his two great grandchildren, Everli (Jennessa), and Rylee (Tyler). He is also survived by his mother, Pauline Jasper; and his siblings; Diane Larsen, Michael (Elaine) Jasper, Robert (Lori) Jasper; as well as numerous beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

George was predeceased by his father, Robert Jasper; brother-in-law; Bruce Larsen; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

I didn’t know that George was born in Glasgow (same town my three children were born~ and my first was born on May 17th (same as George). Plus I have a grandson named “George Kenneth”. George was a great classmate, and I was happy to see him at our 50th Class Reunion last Summer. Fly high, George! My sympathy to Dar and all of George’s many loved ones.
