Rosemarie Leone, 39, of East Grand Forks, MN passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Rosemarie was born on June 22, 1984, in Williston, ND to Evangeline Mongram and Cedric Mandan Red Feather.
She was raised briefly in Mandaree, ND and later moved to New Town and eventually Minot, ND where she was educated. She moved to East Grand Forks, MN and attended Northland Community and Technical College for Marketing and Sales Management.
Rosemarie was a loving and dedicated individual, as well as a generous and helpful person to her family and friends. Her love for cooking, organizing family gatherings, and taking care of her loved ones shows her nurturing nature. Her passion for nature and spirituality truly set her apart. Whether it was through her involvement in Sun dancing or her deep connection to the natural world as a tree girl, Rosemarie's spiritual beliefs were a guiding force in her life. Her spirituality and involvement in activities like Sun dancing and sweat-lodges highlight her connection to nature and her spiritual beliefs.
Her sense of humor and love for music brought joy to those around her. She will be remembered for her actions and the impact she made on the lives of others.
Rosemarie was a beacon of love and support for her family and friends. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, always putting others' needs before her own. Rosemarie had a contagious sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. Her laughter and jokes brought joy to those around her and created lasting memories that will be cherished forever. Music was another one of Rosemarie's great loves. Whether she was singing along to her favorite tunes or dancing to the rhythm, music was a source of happiness and expression for her.
Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of everyone she met. Rosemarie had a remarkable ability to empathize with others and offer a lending hand or a listening ear whenever needed.
Rosemarie had a talent for bringing people together. Her warm and inviting personality made her the heart and soul of any gathering, fostering connections and creating lifelong friendships. Cooking was one of Rosemarie's many talents. Her delicious meals filled not just stomachs, but also hearts and souls, as she would often use food as a way to bring people closer and express her love.
She married Alejandro Ramirez and together they shared three children. She later married Jose Gonzalez and they also had three children together.
She loved her family and relatives. She loved the holidays and would put family events together and family games. She especially loved her children, nieces and nephews.
Above all, Rosemarie's dedication to her family and friends was unmatched. She consistently showed her unwavering support and love, making sure everyone felt valued and cared for. Her impact on their lives will never be forgotten.
Rosemarie is survived by her spouse Jose A. Gonzalez; children: Esperanza Precious Ramirez, Polly Ione Ramirez, Jesus Malachi Ramirez, Alaïa Cassidi Faith Gonzalez, Moises Evan Remington Gonzalez, and Tylen Zay McAllister Gonzalez, father Cedric Mandan Red Feather; sisters; Vanessa Hardy, Bessie Mongram, Sarah Garrett Mandan, Wamblee Wea (Jeremiah) Bromilow, Brothers; Merlin (Samantha) Red Feather, Kyle Mandan, Demetrius Mandan, numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncle, cousins, and her sundance family.
She is preceded by her mother Evangeline Mongram, maternal grandparents Polly Standish Mongram and Leon Mongram. Paternal grandparents Bernice Smith White Owl and Victor Mandan, nephews Garrett Jay Fox, Preston Murphy Young Bird, niece Brooklyn Grace Star Red Feather.
