Lewis Halbaedier, 82, of Williston, ND, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Sandford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Lewis was born on Thursday July 10, 1941 to Nadine Ruth Brooks and Louis Louie Halbaedier. He was the oldest child of 5 children.

After traveling and working all around West, TX work took him to Tioga, ND where he met his wife Kathryn Halbaedier. They were married May 30, 1982 in Watford City, ND. Together they moved to Odessa, TX where he worked as a Down Hole Tool Fisherman. In 1996 they returned to Williston, ND where they resided.

Lewis loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He spent many weekends surrounded by family and friends where he loved to cook and always welcomed all with open arms.

He also loved to fish and hunt. He had a huge love of gardening which yielded many tasty treats. Later in life he liked sitting at the table, watching westerns on TV with his wife and spending time with his great-grandchildren.

Lewis is survived by his wife, Kathryn; 7 sons; 6 daughters; 20 plus grandchildren; 30 plus great-grandchildren; 3 brothers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister; 2 sons; 2 great-grandchildren.

He was a good uncle to me. If I had trouble with something he right there for me, if I was hurt he would help me get in the house.

Lewis was always kind and caring when he would bring the dogs into see us at Bakken Mobile vet. Our condolences to his wife and family.

I was so sorry to hear of Lewis,s passing. My sympathy to his family.
I worked with Lewis at Walmart, he was always one to talk to and visit with you. I was happy to see him and the last time was at Walmart. Kathryn, I am sorry to hear and my deepest sympathy.

I worked with Lewis for a few years. He was always so nice. He was a true handyman. If I needed help he would be one of the first to help. Always so friendly. He will be greatly missed. Hugs to his family and friends
