Louise Angeline Rehbein
November 25, 1932 - October 30, 2023

Place of Birth: Fryburg, North Dakota
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 90

Louise Angeline Balducke Rehbein passed away peacefully with family gathered around her on Monday, October 30, 2023.

Louise was born November 25, 1932, in Fryburg, North Dakota, the third of ten children to Frank and Leona Balducke.

Louise grew up in the Balducke home place west of Skaar, Montana. She started school at Clark school and later attended the Elm Coulee school until the eighth grade. Mom had many wonderful stories from her growing up on the farm. Stories of raising big gardens with her mother, to riding her Welch Old Peaches out to count cows with one of her five sisters. Louise had a superior work ethic that was well passed to her children.

She became the amazing wife to Herman Alfred (HA Bud) Rehbein on October 6, 1952. After Louise and Bud were married, she worked at the general store in Lambert. She worked at the Tasty Freeze in Sidney for a time, then the Triangle Night Club in Sidney for forty years as a waitress. She spent ten years at Sidney Health Center and retired. After retirement she enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds around her home.

She was the awesome, wonderful mother of seven very independent, magnificent children. Louise was a powerful, beautiful, and a totally blessed grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren. She was valued as the matriarch of our entire family. She will never be forgotten. She was a life member of Sidney VFW Auxiliary, Sidney Moose Lodge and Women of the Moose.

Louise is survived by her seven children Allen Rehbein, Dean (Rita) Rehbein, Ronald “Ron” (Cindy) Rehbein, Roger (Mindy) Rehbein, Anita Rehbein, Tom (Robin) Rehbein, and Dawn (Mike) Hammerly; her sister Francie Mackin and brother William “Billy” Balducke of Miles City, MT; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Leona Balducke; husband Bud; grandson Joshua James “JJ” Rehbein; great granddaughter Brittany Jo Keller; daughter-in-law Elaine (Cotter) Rehbein; Bernice (Almer) Rehbein; and siblings Mary Thrams, Mae Belle Staggs, Joseph Balduke, Lois McRae, Benjamin “Ben” Balducke, Myrtle Brown and David “Tony” Balducke.

Louise was one of the nicest persons I've ever met. When I worked at the Triangle Night Club, in Sidney, she was always there with a big smile and a word of encouragement. I've thought of her often since the Triangle closed. My sympathy to the family. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

It doesn't matter how old you are, losing a grandparent is tough. Take time to heal, and treasure the special memories of her. I'm very glad I was able to meet Louise. She and Grandpa Bud were both special people. Jim and I send our sincere condolences and pray that the memories of time shared will help to ease the pain of her loss. RIP Louise, you will be missed.
