Neoma Dale Severson, of Watford City, formerly of Williston, ND, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the McKenzie County Hospital.

Neoma was born September 23, 1939 to Robert and Bertha Hurley in Brosley, in Missouri and was the youngest of 5 children. She had 4 children of her own Debbe Kay, Twila Welch, Bill Huggins and Terry Huggins. In 1982 she moved to Williston, where she met Norman Severson. They were married in Deadwood, SD on February 20, 1993. They continued to live in Williston until Normans passing in 2016. For the last 5 years, Neoma was living with her daughter, Debbe, in Watford City. She was close to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she got to see regularly. She loved being closer to family and while she missed all of her friends in Williston, she made many new ones in Watford City.

She is preceded in death by her husband Norman Severson, her son Terry Huggins and two sisters and a brother.

She is survived by her children, Debbe Kay of Watford City, ND, Twila Welch of Dickinson, ND and Bill Huggins of Independence, MO and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

So sorry to hear about the passing of “Grandma”. So many fun memories at her house playing games, getting stuck there for a few days in the storm of 97 and her chewing out Norm for being inappropriate. I will always cherish the memories. Hugs and prayers.
