Eugene (Gene) Lautenschlager passed away peacefully March 27, 2023 surrounded by family. Gene was born and grew up on the family farm just northeast of Berthold, North Dakota. He graduated in 1944 from Berthold High School and worked on the farm and in the Minot area until he joined the U.S. Army in 1951. He served with distinction in the 1st Field Artillery Observation Battalion while stationed in Korea during the Korean Conflict. Following his time in the Army Gene returned to Minot to attend Minot Business School and after graduating worked as an accountant in Minot before moving to Williston. There he met Sally Ann Senti. Together they owned and operated John Iverson Co, an electrical and electronics wholesale business until their retirement. Gene spent his final decade at Wheatland Terrace in Grand Forks near Bruce, Jenny, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Bruce and family , I am so sorry to hear about Gene. I have so many memories of him and your Mom. He was indeed a special Uncle to me with his kindness for everyone he met. Mom and Dad loved him so much when he came into our family. Loved hearing from him at Christmas time and his artwork. Sending Love and blessings

I am so sad to have missed Gene's funeral! When I read it in the paper it was already late. Gene & Sally were dear friends of my parents, Harry & Mavis. And of course good friends going way back to Floyd, too. What a great guy! I loved his smile and genuine heart. May Jesus give you lasting memories! With our sympathy, C'Dale & Phil
