Margaret A. Trulson
April 16, 1929 - May 25, 2022

Place of Birth: Blaisdell, North Dakota
Residence: Palermo, North Dakota
Age: 93

Margaret Trulson, 93, of Palermo, North Dakota passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Mountrail County Medical Center in Stanley, North Dakota.

Margaret was born at the family homestead in rural Blaisdell, North Dakota on April 16, 1929 to Adolph and Bertha (Strand) Vedvig. She was one of the ten children born to the couple, and with five sisters and four brothers there was a friend to do chores and play with. While growing up Margaret attended country school in the rural Tagus and Plaza areas.

On October 23, 1944, in Wolf Point, Montana Margaret married Alvin Trulson who truly was the love of her life. Alvin and Margaret would settle onto the family farm in Palermo, North Dakota where they farmed and grow their family. Together the couple were blessed to have a large family of their own and they raised eight children, two sons and six daughters.

Margaret was an exceptional baker, and her children will always remember the smell of her fresh baked bread when they came home from school. She was known for whipping together a meal in no time at all, and she was especially proud of her lefse which was so thin you could see through it. Her only rule at the dinner table while the kids would “reach and grab” to be the first to get fresh baked goods, was to always keep one foot on the floor at all times!

Margaret is survived by her son, Richard Trulson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughters, Jan Taylor of Stanley, ND, Kathy (Gary) Mork of Stanley, ND, Nancy (Jim) Konen of Plaza, ND, and Mona (Don) Bingen of Palermo, ND; son in law, Brandon Haynes of VA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Proceeding Margaret in death were her parents; husband, Alvin; son, Randy; daughters, Judy Haynes and Karen Airman; son in law, Milo Anderson; brothers, Ben, Bud, Carl, and Frank; sisters, Gladys, Eleanor, Hazel, Ann, and Alice.
