Mark Dwaine Soholt
July 12, 1959 - March 9, 2022

Residence: Alamo, North Dakota

Mark Dwaine Soholt was born in Arkansas on July 12, 1959 to Darryl and Lillian (Zelmar) Soholt. He passed away on March 9, 2022 in Alamo, ND.

Mark worked at Landro’s Grocery in Ray and various grocery stores in Williston. He drove a UPS delivery truck for a while and presently was working for Wildrose Public Transportation where he thoroughly enjoyed and cared for the people that rode on the bus.

Mark could get most anyone to smile and laugh with a joke or two. He loved helping people and was very caring person. Mark loved pets and people alike. He was the soul caregiver for his mother until she passed away.

He enjoyed music and concerts, he even invited bands to practice on this farm in Alamo. His pride and joy was purchasing and restoring Studebaker cars and his extensive music memorabilia collection.

I am DEEPLY saddened by this news. Mark was a kind, caring person. You were blessed if he called you his friend. He took such good care of "his" people that he drove bus for. This is such a shock ~ you will be greatly missed, my friend. Rest now with Jesus.

We went to high school together and stayed friends all these years. We partied a little (maybe a lot); we had a few drinks, (maybe a lot).

As kids growing up on the northern border we enjoyed the Canadian as well as American bands, something that stayed with us our whole lives, seeing many concerts as well as continuing to enjoy new music. Every time we drove somewhere you had a new CD to play for me to see if I liked it. It could be a new band, a new album of a new version of an old band. You loved music and knew a lot about it.

It seemed every time we went someplace we would see someone you knew or someone would be tapping you on the back saying hello. The amount of people you knew and were friends with always amazed me. You’re going to be missed by a lot of people. Probably even more than you would have thought.

When it our time to pass I’m sure we will find you in the Rock and Roll section of Heaven having a blast at the Rock N’ Mark Saloon. Can’t wait to see the bands you’ve booked. And we will have a few (maybe a lot).

I will miss you my friend.
