Aaron Scott Iverson
January 9, 1979 - March 5, 2022

Place of Birth: Tioga, North Dakota
Residence: Williston, North Dakota
Age: 43

Aaron Scott Iverson, 43, of Williston, North Dakota passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Aaron was born January 9, 1979, to Ronnie and Rena Iverson in Tioga, North Dakota. He graduated from Tioga High School in 1997, having enjoyed competing on the wrestling team. He received his Associate of Science degree from Williston State College in 1999 with a certification as a diesel mechanic. He was hired in October 1999 as a diesel mechanic at Trucks of Bismarck, which was later bought out by Interstate Power Systems. He worked there until he received a promotion as Service Manager at the Williston location in September 2019. This promotion was very important to Aaron. He was so proud of this position and spent endless hours at this new job, always finding ways to make improvements. He loved this job, worked with excellence and enjoyed the people he worked with.

In August 2001, Aaron married Sasha “Sha" Stewart. They lived in Lincoln, ND for 17 years. Sons Jordan and Jace were born during that time. They attended Peace Lutheran Church, where Aaron served as president of the church council for three years. He enjoyed studying the Bible, particularly the book of Revelation, and wrote articles for the monthly newsletter. Because of his creativity, people in the church saw him as their go-to person when they had ideas but needed someone to help them out.

His sons, Jordan and Jace, always called him when they had questions about what to do with their pickup trucks and other mechanical issues. Aaron loved explaining things and helping people understand how things work. He was very creative and could take any piece of scrap/garbage and make a masterpiece out of it. He was always full of ideas for new projects and was a perfectionist with immaculate detail – everything he did was with excellence and without error.

One of his favorite projects was helping organize the family’s annual 4th of July celebration at White Earth Bay alongside his brother, Jared. As head designer, he picked out the fireworks and engineered the firework show. What started as a small family event eventually grew into a HUGE display that is enjoyed by everyone at White Earth Bay. He put his engineering and creative skills to work and spent hours building a concession stand where family and friends enjoy treats and goodies while celebrating the 4th of July.

One of his favorite winter activities was ice fishing. His most memorable ice fishing adventure was with Sha and the boys. Because the fish were biting so fast, he spent the whole time baiting and taking fish off the hooks for everyone else and never had a chance to fish for himself!

Aaron became “Papa” to grandson Grayson on June 6, 2021. He was so proud to be a grandpa and loved spending time lying next to Grayson on the floor.

He enjoyed Star Trek Voyager, every style of music and board game (especially Risk). Although soft spoken, he always had something to say. He especially loved talking about his boys and was incredibly proud of what they had accomplished and were currently doing. His siblings affectionately referred to him as “Aar Bear” from a very early age. Aaron will be remembered for his amazing bear hugs but even more for his kindness to others.

Aaron is survived by wife, Sasha; children, Jordan and Jace; grandson, Grayson; mother, Rena Iverson; siblings, Roxane (Jeff) Sauber, Cindy (John) Sauber and Jared (Kristin) Iverson; nephews, JD Sauber and Nick (Quinn) Sauber; nieces, Kiersten (Jordan) Barth and Krista (Cameron) Christopherson; many cousins, aunts, uncles, great nieces and great nephews; parents-in-law, Chuck and Fran Stewart; sisters-in-law, Chelsey (David) Moore and children Matthew, Wyatt, Marshall, Layla; Morgan (Alex) Craft and children Rylan and Braylee.

Aaron is preceded in death by grandparents, Louis and Dorothy Iverson, Andrew Anderson, Harold and Bertha Rice; father, Ronnie Iverson; sister, Ronda; nephew, Trystan Iverson and niece, McKinley Craft.

Sasha, boys, family- so sad to hear of your loss.
Our hearts are heavy for the loss of one of
The finest, most decent individuals I have
Ever met. I am so proud to have had Aaron
For a dear friend and had the pleasure of
Working with him for sixteen years.
When the Lord reaches out his hand, we
Must go.
