January 16, 1975 - February 22, 2022

Place of Birth: Billings, MT
Residence: Billings, MT
Age: 47

Jesse William LaFountain, 47 of Billings, MT passed away suddenly at his home on February 22, 2022. Jesse was born on January 16, 1975 in Billings, MT to Patti and Don LaFountain. As a toddler Jesse loved to carry around his own copy of the song Muleskinner for all to listen to. He attended all of his school years in Sidney graduating from SHS spending most of those years with his Papa and II (Joyce).

Growing up Jesse loved anything with wheels and that would go extremely fast. He spent the winters on a snowmobile and the summers on a motorcycle. Jesse and his sisters loved spending time in their cabin in the Big Horn Mountains fishing, hiking, side by siding, and visiting with family.

Jesse’s life took may turns from working in the oil fields (known as Ogre) and recently in the steel industry as a culvert supervisor. Throughout his 47 years he was gentle as a big teddy bear, our Bubba.

Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Don LaFountain, grandfather, William Robert Wilkinson (Bill), Grandfather Albert LaFountain and Grandmother, Martha Bertha LaFountain.

He is survived by his grandmother, Joyce Wilkinson of Sidney, MT, mother Patti (Mike) Wheeling of Sidney, MT. Three Sisters, Sarah (Dave) Faiman of Sidney, MT, Julie (Lonny) Jacobson of Grand Forks, ND and Kari (Jason) Abelseth of Rapid City, SD. Jesse had several nieces and nephews, Logan, Megan, Bode, Jocelyn, Madysen and Malia. He had many aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved spending time with over the years either driving a beet truck (Jeff) or wrangling cows (Michael) with drones and a side by side or simply visiting everyone at grandma’s house over good food and a board game.

While Jesse was living in Bozeman he tried online dating, there he saw his soulmate and the love of his life, wearing a pirate outfit, Diana. Jesse and Diana became inseparable over the last 10 years. They have a great love, were best friends, and were planning and are going to continue to celebrate that love in 2022 with family and friends. Jesse and Diana lived their lives doing what they wanted on a beach on the east coast, riding motorcycles, side by siding with friends in whatever mountain they could get to but most of all just being with each other. Diana lives in their home in Billings, MT. Two step children, Lindsey (Jake) Nifong of Winston-Salem, NC and Tyler Parker (girlfriend Victoria) of Billings, MT. Jesse gained 5 grandchildren along the way, Madelyn, Noah, Ryleigh, Chelsea, and Eva.
