Rodney L. Strunk of Ray, ND passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Tioga Medical Center in Tioga, ND. Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Tioga is assisting the family.

Rodney L. Strunk was born November 23, 1959 in Whitefish, MT to LeRoy and Louise Strunk.

Growing up, Rod was a man with many passions, drumming, fast cars, loving the outdoors to name a few.

Rod was a home body. He took pride in working and manicuring his yard and gardens. His 4 dogs and 2 cats followed him around and kept him company. In the last few years, he discovered a passion for drawing. As a child playing with Tonka Toys, this fascination grew into a passion for being a heavy equipment operator for the past 40 plus years.

Laughter was a staple in Rod’s life. The time he spent with his many friends and family was very important to him. He was a loving father to his son, Jessie.

He married Candise Adams on April 24, 2004. Their marriage was 2 months shy of celebrating 18 years full of love and laughter together.

Rod is survived by his wife, Candise of Ray, ND; son, Jessie of Billings, MT.

Candise, we're so sorry to hear about your loss. We loved Rod and we loved the two of you together. So many smiles, so much laughter, so, so, good. If you need a little vacation, come on out and breathe some mountain air. There's a group of us that would love to give you a hug in person. You've got family here.

Rod was my baseball coach growing up in whitefish, he was always this really cool guy, bigger than life personality, volunteering countless hours to coach us. The whole team would climb into Rods van and he would drive us to the games. He was always making us laugh, I have such fond memories of Rod, he was a wonderful giving person. Sorry for your loss.
