Louise (Irigoin) Jambor
March 30, 1925 - November 11, 2021

Place of Birth: Sidney, Montana
Residence: Manhattan, MT formerly of Lambert, MT
Age: 96

Louise (Irigoin) Jambor, age 96, of Lambert, MT, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021 at Parkhaven Retirement Community in Manhattan MT, surrounded by family.
Louise was born on March 30, 1925 to John and Marie Irigoin of Elmdale, MT. She went to High School in Sidney, and was later employed by Montana Dakota Utilities and Montana Welfare Department. Louise married Clem Jambor on February 15, 1954, and together they raised a family on the farm/ranch north of Lambert. They had four children, Richard, Greg, Stan and Charlotte, to whom she was devoted. Her Catholic faith and her family meant everything to her. She spent many years teaching religious education, as well as clerking for Spring Lake School. She loved the farm, spending her time quilting and cooking alongside her regular farm duties. Thanksgiving gatherings hosted by Louise were the highlight of the year.
Louise was very proud of her Basque heritage, and would tell stories about growing up in the Elmdale community. She attended the local Basque gatherings, as well as travelling to Boise, ID and Buffalo, WY for Basque festivals. She enjoyed speaking the language with her family and friends, and was always happy to teach a few Basque words and phrases.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clem and beloved son Richard, as well as siblings Victor, Marshall and Grace Irigoin. She is mourned by her sons Greg of Morristown, AZ, Stan (Dana) of Belgrade, MT, daughter Charlotte (Greg) McCue of Cody, WY, and daughter-in-law Lonnie Jambor of Killdeer, ND. She had nine grandchildren who thought the world of her, and 11 great grandchildren.
Louise’s family is very grateful to the staff at The Lodge in Sidney, MT and at Parkhaven in Manhattan, MT for the loving care they provided over the last few years.

Memorial Contribution
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew’s Parish in Sidney, MT.

Charlotte, Stan, Greg and families, I am so very sorry to see this. I have always enjoyed my visits with your mom, whenever I had a chance to see her. It doesn’t matter how old or sick they were, it is still very hard to lose a parent. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Hugs to all.

I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed visiting with Louise when she was at the Lodge--I think it was comforting for my dad that another Basque was nearby. Prayers for your families.

Greg, Stan & Charlotte and Families,
We are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She is such a beautiful lady! She is now singing in Basque in Heaven with your Dad and Dick. May the thought of hearing her voice comfort you. Kiahna and I love her dearly and will cherish our many memories with her beginning with Louise teaching Kiahna to sew when she was just a little 6 year old girl. You are all in our prayers. Much Love, Heather & Kiahna
