Ronald Dean Kerbaugh, 60, of Tioga, ND, passed away at the Tioga Medical Center in Tioga, ND on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

Ronald was born on July 11, 1961 in Williston, North Dakota to LaVerne and Ardella Kerbaugh. He attended school in Williston, ND through the 7th grade before his family moved to Tioga, ND. Ronald finished his schooling in Tioga and was a Tioga Pirate graduate with the class of 1979. Upon graduating Ron went straight to work in the oil field.

While living in Grand Forks the couple welcomed their children; daughter, Katey and son, Cameron. In 1995 the family decided to make Tioga, ND their home again, and they made the move back west. Ron worked in many different oil field positions for companies, including working in the North Slope of Alaska. Ron enjoyed many things on his time off from work, including kayaking and working at the farm. He enjoyed flying planes; his favorite was the Mooney.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Katey Kerbaugh and her daughter, Ari of Barnesville, MN; son, Cameron Kerbaugh of Tioga, ND; mother, Ardella Kerbaugh of Tioga, ND; sisters, Renee (Chuck) Johnson of Bowman, ND, Peggy (Paul) Weyrauch of Ray, ND and Paula (Allan) Harms of Fargo, ND.

Preceding Ronald in death is his father, LaVerne Kerbaugh. Sadly, following Ron closely in death was his wife of 30 years, Wendy Renae Kerbaugh.

There are no words to explain the events of this week. Deeply saddened to hear about Ron. So grateful we Davidson cousins were able to visit with him in August when we helped Ardella celebrate her birthday. Little did we know it would be the last time. Ardella, my heart breaks for you. I know the grief of losing a son, and it is heart wrenching. Cam, Katie, Renee', Peggy, Paula, and families, there are no words for a time like this except to tell you I CARE. Ron was a man of many talents, and I can see from pictures, he loved to FISH. Whenever you go to the river and cast that line, say "This one's for you, Ron." Sending my love, thoughts and prayers from Texas. Wish I was there to hug each of you. God Be With You Till we Meet Again, Cuz. Hope you are fishing up in Heaven with your dad and my son, Leroy.
