It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Adrian Jerome Anderson
February 7, 1934 - March 13, 2021

Place of Birth: Powers Lake, North Dakota
Residence: Tioga, ND
Age: 87

Adrian Jerome Anderson, 87, passed away peacefully in the Arms of Our Lord on March 13, 2021.

Adrian (Andy) was born February 7, 1934 to Eleanor and Adolph Anderson in Kenmare, North Dakota. He was the eldest of six children. Throughout his youth, he helped his father farm the land until school started in the fall. He also worked at the Gas station and Tire shop in Kenmare.

Adrian received his education in Kenmare, North Dakota. He played football for Kenmare High School. In 1951, when he was a junior in high school, Andy was crowned Homecoming King. This was a highlight of his high school days.

Adrian was united in marriage to Janette Elaine Leholm and together they had five children. Adrian served in the Army from April 1957 to April 1963. After being stationed in Killeen, Texas they returned to Tioga, North Dakota to make their home.

Adrian worked at Amerada Hess for several years. He moved his family to a farm north of Tioga where he raised cattle. In 1968 the family moved to Stanley, North Dakota.

Adrian was a self-taught Master Electrician and started his own business, First Electric. Working was his passion. Andy enjoyed doing electrical work and had many customers throughout the years in the Tioga, Stanley, and Powers Lake area. He was never able to say “no” to those in need of electrical work and was still working at the age of 87.

Andy was an integral part of his community. Every day he could be found at the local café enjoying his breakfast and coffee and visiting with friends. He loved driving his pickup up and down all the area roads. He loved to watch the countryside change from season to season. In the country is where he was happiest.

He is survived by his children: Dallas (Donna) Anderson, Mari (Lee) Kvam, Susan (Lee) Zahradka, Scott (Kay) Anderson; Grandchildren: Devin Anderson, Caitlyn (Anderson) Christensen, Natalie (Kvam) Johnson, Shanna (Kvam) Lower, Elle Kvam, Danielle (Zahradka) Cooley, Lukas Zahradka, Chadd Herr, Shannon Herr; and 13 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor and Adolph; siblings, Clarence and Marlin; his son, David Anderson; and grandchildren Lindsey Kvam, Colby Anderson and Brad Herr.

Whenever at a family gathering that Andy was at, I always wanted to sit at his table. That we had in common a friend in Bill W. was calming and reassuring for me, & I enjoyed his conversation. I sure will miss that. My condolences to all for your loss, especially Dallas, Mari, Scott and Susan.
