It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Michael Steven Koch
July 8, 1975 - November 17, 2020

Residence: Williston, North Dakota

Michael S. Koch, 45, of Williston, ND, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in rural Williston, ND.

Mike was born July 8th, 1975 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Louie Koch Jr. and Magdalene (Maggie) Koch (Neibauer). Mike was the 11th of thirteen siblings. He attended school and graduated from Flasher, ND. He then went to work for Big Valley, Pioneer Construction and then Knife River in the Aggregate division. In 2008 Mike made the move to Williston, ND to start his career in the Oil Field with Sanjel as an Operator. He was an extremely hard worker and moved up the levels to Supervisor and ultimately Cement Coordinator. Mike was currently working at Conley Max as an Operations Coordinator.

On June 2nd, 2012 Mike was united in marriage to Nichole Olson. They were blessed to have raised 4 children: Salena (Lucas), Hunter (Sena), Sienna (Daniel), and Tanner, plus looking forward to becoming grandparents this spring. Mike loved his children and was a playful loving father. He loved family and his friends with all his heart. He had a huge heart, always willing to help anyone in need, hardworking, dedicated to all he did and loved. Mike enjoyed the simple things in life, he valued his relationships and worked hard for all he had in his life. He was the life of the party but was a very soft-spoken person, however when he spoke, he had everyone’s attention. He was especially good at being in the moment and would take time out of a busy day to enjoy it with his wife, family and friends.

He loved living life with his true love Nichole, they worked hard together to make life the best for their family. Mike always had a dream of living in a house on a lake, just recently his dream came true and he was living high on life at Blacktail Dam. Where he enjoyed countless nights by the fire stargazing, coffee cruises in the mornings and sunset cruises at night, ice fishing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, playing horseshoes, hunting, gardening, bird watching & so much more. Mike just had this love for life and nature. He was looking forward to living his life with his love and spoke fondly of growing old together on the lake and dancing the nights away.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Louie and brother, David. Mike is survived by his wife, Nichole, Williston; and his children, Salena Koch, Williston; Hunter Koch, Williston; Sienna Koch, Idaho; and Tanner Koch, Williston; his mom, Maggie Koch, Mandan; and his siblings, Adam, Bismarck, Louie (Deb), Bismarck; Julie Lovgren, MN; Leroy (Tammy), Mandan; Robert, Bismarck; Karen (Rick), Bismarck; Rosalie (Scott) Stevens, Mandan; Eugene (Deb), Wilton; Yvonne Klein and (Keith), Bismarck; Joseph and (Bobbi), Minot; Sylvia (Kasey) Lesmann, Hazen.

My condolences to everyone this affected he was loved and respected by so many. I am glad I had the pleasure of calling him one of my best buds... he will be missed. He was a very unique individual, but that uniqueness is what made him who she was and stand out over everybody else.
