It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Lynda Joyce Labatte
July 27, 1951 - November 8, 2020

Place of Birth: Pensacola, Florida
Residence: Froid, Montana
Age: 69

Lynda was born July 27, 1951 to parents Darrell & Selma (Lee) Skinner in Pensacola, FL. Lynda attended several schools due to Darrell being in the Navy and graduated High School at Helena High in 1968. She attended college at Eastern College in Billings studying Elementary Education. Lynda continued her education, going on to earn her Master’s Degree in Special Education.

Lynda met Gregg while teaching in Culbertson and they were united in marriage on November 27, 1976. They made their family home in Froid, MT. The two of them had two children, son Grant (Laura) Labatte in 1978 and they gave them 3 grandkids. A daughter Sabrina (Ben Smith) Labatte in 1981 and they gave them 2 grandkids. Lynda was so proud of her grandchildren, Tanner, Tristan, Haley, Sydney, and Payton and followed them to all their activities. They were the joy of her life and she was so very proud of each of their accomplishments.

In Lynda’s 38 years of education she taught in Belfry, Culbertson, and 34 years at the Froid Public School. She loved and enjoyed all of her students and was so proud of all of them. She always tried to stay contact with many of her students and had a special bond with many over the years. After retiring from teaching, Lynda stayed active in the school by joining the local school board, being the active chairwoman the last two years. She also enjoyed having more time for her quilting and sewing.

Lynda had a heart of gold and was willing to help anyone out at any time. Whether it was meals for the workers in the field, saving the “grands” when they forgot something they needed for school, or a shoulder to cry on when a teacher or student needed a friend, Lynda was there.

Lynda passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020.

Lynda is survived by her husband Gregg of 43 years son Grant (Laura), and daughter Sabrina (Ben), grandchildren Tanner Holtan, Haley and Sydney Labatte, and Tristan and Payton Labatte.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents Darrell & Selma Skinner and sister Susan.
