Loren Allen Lang was born June 2, 1928 in Zap, ND to Emil and Alvina (Breitling) Lang. He was raised on the family farm until moving to California to work in a shipyard. Later he moved back to North Dakota and worked on the Garrison Dam before entering the U.S. Army in 1950. On August 28, 1950 he married his loving wife, Lois Abbey. After he was honorably discharged in 1952, they moved back to Beulah, ND. Loren worked for a lumberyard and then in 1956 began his Career with Montana Dakota Utilities. In 1958, he transferred to MDU in Sidney, MT, and after 34 years of service he retired in 1990.
Loren completed construction of the family home in 1974 and lived there until his passing. Loren enjoyed gardening, yardwork, golf, and most of all woodworking. He also enjoyed dancing with his wife, Lois, and all of us kids loved watching them float across the dance floor.
On July 11, 2020, Loren was called home to be with the Lord. He passed away at the Sidney Health Center Extended Care facility of pre-existing medical issues.
Loren is survived by: his wife, Lois Lang, Sidney, MT; his children, Douglas (Genie) Lang, Sidney, MT, Diane (Tom) Mercier, New Braunfels, TX, David (Crystal) Lang, Hudsonville, MI, Dean (Jeanne) Lang, Sidney, MT, Denise Lang, Redmond, WA, and Darrin (Brandi) Lang, Billings, MT, and; his 13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren; his sisters, Helen Berkland and Verna Mae Giese; his stepsister, Phyllis Hintz; his stepbrother, Clifford Hintz; his half-sister Sandra Lang; and his half-brother Jon Lang.
Loren is preceded in death by: his mother, Alvina; his father Emil; his step mother, Louise; his sister Loretta, and his step-brother Eldor.

Dear Lang family, my heart hurts for all of you, losing your Father is a very hard. I will always remember your Dad with a smile and a greeting every time we saw each other. Hold on to the memories, they can be very comforting. My love, hugs and prayers for all of you. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. I greatly enjoyed visiting with Loren and would look forward to seeing him and seeing whatever woodworking creation he would have out to show me when I stopped by. He was always so friendly and such a sweet soul. Thoughts and prayers to all of you.
