Robert Wayne Butterfield was born April 16, 1945 in Centralia, WA to Wilbur and Lenora Owen Butterfield. On September 6, 1978 he married Helen Rawlins in Raymond, WA. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy, was a life member of VFW 4099 and District 5 Commander of VFW 968 in Raymond, WA. Robert and Helen moved to Sidney in 1989. His hobbies included collecting sports cards and agates, stopping to bs with anyone that was willing to talk to him and collecting donations for fundraising for the boys and Girls Club. His second family was the Hurley Clan of Raymond, WA.
Robert is survived by his wife of 40 years, Helen, sisters Rena of Port Hadlock, WA and Christine of Ogden, UT, four step-children, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
