Gary Brandt passed away on January 13, in Tioga at the Tri City Care Group Home.

He was born August 1, 1939 to Gideon and Edna Brandt in Bottineau, ND. Gary’s younger years were spent on the family farm in Kramer, ND. He then moved to Grafton, from there to Devils Lake and later to Stanley. His last 2 years he resided in Tioga.

Gary was a newspaper carrier for the Minot Daily News in Stanley for 12 years. He was awarded the “Carrier of the Month” in 1997. After retiring in 2002, he enjoyed visiting with his friends over coffee at the local diner. His favorite past times were visiting with Sister Eunice and Family, going on shopping trips to Minot, watching his favorite Western programs, attending Bible study and delivering ‘Meals on Wheels’ with his friend Wally Erickson.

Gary developed many friendships through his paper route and Bible studies. He always had a big smile for all those he met, a laugh, and a ‘Hiya! Or Hey!

Gary is survived by: sister, Eunice (Lonnie) Rosberg , Minot, ND; nephews, Dean (Kim) Rosberg. Glenburn, ND and Larry Rosberg, San Diego, CA; nieces, Darla (Siraj) Bilgrami, Surprise, AZ and Lynnae Rosberg Peoria, AZ and great niece, Brittney (Tyler) Jenkins, York, SC.
