Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 87

Caroline Ruth Kling was born on January 19, 1932, in Sidney, MT to Conrad and Helen (Adler) Strasheim. She attended school in Sidney and loved going to classes and learning. After graduating the school counselor called her and told her of a job at Brattin, Habedank and Cumming Law Firm, and that started her 50 plus years as a legal secretary. Caroline went to work for Credit Bureau of Sidney before going to work for the Richland County Attorney where she worked for 30 years and then she continued to “fill in” when needed.
Caroline and Sam were married on July 6, 1952, while he was on leave from the Korean War. They had four children: Jeff, Pam, Tim, and Gary. Caroline went back to work after Gary was born.
Along with her job as a legal secretary, she was the secretary for the local Water Board, and held many jobs in the Ebenezer Congregational Church. Caroline played the organ and piano, starting about the age of 12, continuing until late last year. She continued to make the monthly newsletter and the church bulletin until the beginning of July.
Caroline loved having family and friends over for a meal. She could be found preparing a meal for 10-20 people on any given occasion. She has a large collection of dishes and serving bowls. She loved to visit with family and friends. Caroline also loved to quilt, and has made many, many quilts, particularly baby quilts for new babies.
Caroline passed away on Monday morning, July 8, 2019, at her home in Sidney.
Caroline is survived by: her children, Pam (Dave), Tim (Lisa) and Gary (Julie); six grandchildren, Lacey, Jeff, Josh, Tymeron, Allison, and Zak; six great grandchildren, Paxton, Parker, Palmer, Payson, Camdyn, and Sidney; her brother, Marvin Strasheim.

Caroline was such a generous, warm person. I first met her when she welcomed my family into the neighborhood with a warm batch of chocolate chip cookies. We always had to visit whenever we were outside at the same time. She will be dearly missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family.

Pam, Tim, Gary and families, my heartfelt sympathy, your Mom was a part of my younger days when Pam and I hung out together. She was always ready to visit when I would see her out and about, and I will miss that. Rest in peace dear Caroline.

We were able to meet Caroline through Tymeron our daughter in law. Caroline is a beautiful woman who loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Caroline, you will be remembered as the wonderful woman that you are. Our thoughts go out to Tymeron & Curtis, Pam & Dave and the entire Kling family.
