Robert "Bob" L Kukus
January 30, 1945 - June 9, 2019

Place of Birth: Fairview, Montana
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 74

Robert “Bob” was born on January 30, 1945, at the Brodhead House in Fairview, MT, the son of Henry and Marie (Rein) Kukus. He was one of eleven children. Bob graduated from Sidney High School in 1964. After graduation, Bob started working campaigns at Holly Sugar for 2 years before starting at PV Helena Elevator. He retired after 44 years of service, 2011, but continued helping them during the spring for 4 more years until his health started to decline. In 1991, Bob met the love of his life, Shirley Boe. They were united in marriage on June 6, 1992, and they just celebrated 27 years together. As a part of their union, Bob gained 2 step-sons, Brian and Jason, who he loved as his own. He became a grandpa in 2003 to Caleigh and Caden. Being a grandfather was one of his biggest joys in life.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors, and not a spring would go by that he didn’t plant a garden. He often went fishing at Fort Peck and went deer and elk hunting with longtime friends and family. Bob and Shirley were able to take many trips across the United States including, Branson, Redwoods, Highway 101 and a cruise to Alaska for their 15th Wedding Anniversary. Bob loved spending time with all his family and made sure to speak to them nightly or weekly. He tried to make many trips to Fargo to see his grandchildren.
Robert “Bob” passed away on Sunday evening, June 9, 2019, after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his family at the Sidney Health Center, Sidney, MT. Bob was greeted in Heaven by his granddaughter, Caleigh.
