Hubert “Bert” was born on June 16, 1932, in Circle, MT to Gust and Emilia (Goehring) Suko. He grew up and attended schools in Brockway, MT. Bert enlisted in the United States Army on June 18, 1952 and transferred to the Army Reserves on June 4, 1954. After he transferred to the reserves, Bert moved to Glendive, MT and started working for the railroad. On October 17, 1954, Bert was united in marriage to Arlene Albrecht in Glendive, MT. They made their home in Glendive and Bert started working for Montana-Dakota Utilities as a serviceman. He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserves on June 17, 1960. They moved to Sidney, MT in 1962 and he continued working for MDU. After 35 years of working for MDU, Bert retired in 1993, and they continued living in Sidney. His wife, Arlene passed away on March 6, 2016, and Bert remained in Sidney.
Bert was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, V.F.W. Post #4099 of Sidney, the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. Bert and Arlene loved to bowl in their younger years.
Hubert “Bert” passed away early Friday morning, at the Sidney Health Center, Sidney, MT.
Surviving him are: his three sons, Steve Suko, Great Falls, MT, Randy (Heather) Suko and Buzz (Kim) Suko both of Sidney, MT; 8 grandchildren, Trevor Suko, Scott Suko, Shelby Suko, Jayden Suko, Cheryl (Brad) Edinger, Natasha Uran, Kiana (Sean) Smith, and Hannah Uran; 4 great grandchildren, Titus and Atlas Edinger, Alex and Arianna Suko; his brother, Ervin Suko, Billings, MT.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, his wife, Arlene; his grandson, Ted Suko; his brothers, Dan Suko, Ed Suko, and Alvin Suko; and his sister, Emma.
