Marlene Faye Sanford, 67, of Williston, ND passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND. Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Williston is assisting the family.

Marlene Faye was born on July 20, 1951 to Arthur and Alice (Wilbenbusch) McGrath in Williston, North Dakota. She attended school in Williston. Marlene would live her whole life in Williston, but did enjoy her trips to Arizona.

She worked as a waitress for numerous years at Gramma Sharon’s Family Restaurant, ran the Courthouse Café with her sister, Ruby and worked at Mercy Medical hospital doing housing cleaning. Marlene retired from cooking at Golden Estates in Williston.

Marlene had two sons, Roger and Dennis. She enjoyed her close relationship with her son, Dennis and loved going camping and fishing with him in their motor home. Marlene also enjoyed spending time with her furry friends; Pierre, Buddy and Tito.

She is survived by her son, Dennis McGrath; sister, Ruby Preslicka; brother, Jerome McGrath; aunt, Yvonne McGrath; nieces, Sara Preslicka and Kaylene Martin and their children, Dustie, Kain and Peyton; special friend, Jon Lofstedt and numerous friends.

Marlene is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Alice; her son, Roger McGrath; sister, Nancy Ramsey and brothers, Gordon, Gilbert and Russell McGrath.

To Marlene's family, so sorry for your loss, I just found out, Marlene was a good friend, many of us went to school together (St Joe's) remember the good and bad times we had there, Marlene always had a smile on her face and a warm welcome, will miss seeing Her at Cash Wise, will keep you all in my prayers.
