Crystal Evette Martell, 85, of Sidney, MT was born April 14, 1934 in Sidney, MT to Edward and Evelyn Danielson Duncan. She was raised by Bud Loe and went to Sidney schools until the 8th grade. In 1951 she married Edmond Bert Johnson, and to this union two children were born, Richard and Bobbie. Crystal later married Laurel Pontius on September 3, 1971 until he passed away January 12, 1972. She then married George “Boyce” Martell Sr. September 5, 1972. They enjoyed 44 years together until he passed away July, 2, 2016.
Along with her family, Crystal had many hobbies that she loved. She was a very crafty gal enjoying beadwork, plastic canvas, quilting gardening and yardwork, jigsaw puzzles and knitting and yarn work in which she made her own looms. She just loved to work and keep busy.
Crystal was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn, and step-father Edmond, a brother Richard Loe, two sisters Marge McDougal and Marie Johnson, and a grandson Michael Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter Bobbie (Dick) Amundson, son Richard (Lyla) Johnson, many stepchildren, brother Roy Loe, grandchildren Christi Amundson, Jon (Crystal) Amundson, Vance (Nichole) Amundson, Misty Johnson, Pamela (Shawn) Froelich, and Jennifer (Vinnie) Chanthavongsak, great-grandchildren Isabell Hausman, Alan Amundson, Cerina Azure, Chaylee Amundson, Brieann Amundson, McKinzi Amundson, Trinti Amundson, Michael J. Johnson, Lucas Froelich, and Hailee, Vincent, and Sommai Chanthavongsak, and great-great-grandchildren James Amundson and Knox Hausman.
Crystal passed away, Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Sidney Health Center.
