Mark Norman Iszler was born in Elgin, ND to Norman and Doris (Schock) Iszler on January 31, 1966. He was raised and educated in New Leipzig, ND.
Mark started college in the fall of 1984 at Jamestown College (now The University of Jamestown). This is where he met the love of his life, Sheila Emly, in the fall of 1985. Mark asked Sheila to marry him at Christmas 1985. They were married in Fairview, MT at the Community Presbyterian Church on July 26, 1986. While in college, Mark & Sheila had two children, Jennifer Meree and Steven Mark. They were then later blessed with another baby girl, Megan Eileen. Mark graduated with honors from Jamestown College June of 1989 with a double major Bachelor of Arts in both Computer Science and Math. Mark also had a Secondary Teaching Certification. The summer if 1988 they moved to Fairview to search for jobs. Mark began work in the fall of 1989 with Sidney Data Processing. He worked there until they closed their doors. He then worked on fixing computers and other related electronics at Omni Electronics and Electricland.
In January of 2014 Mark began IT work with Sidney Public Schools which he did until June 30, 2018.
Mark did IT work at his church running “The Program” every week. Mark enjoyed serving his Lord.
Mark was a member of the Shepherd of the Valley Men’s Group and Church Council. He helped out with Sunday School, Wednesday Night Kid’s Time and Vacation Bible School. He participated in the local Republicans. He also enjoyed watching his Grandkids at Swim Team, Wrestling, Basketball, Cross Country, Track, Eaglettes, Soccer, Baseball & Tae kwan do.
Mark passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Sidney Health Center, Sidney, MT.
Mark is survived by: his loving wife of 32 years, Sheila; his parents, Norman and Doris (Schock) Iszler; his son, Steven Iszler of Sidney, MT; his daughters, Jennifer (Devin) Lear of Sidney, MT and Megan (Chance) Spaabeck of Mandan, ND; his brothers, David (Sheryl) Iszler of Glendale, AZ and Paul (Melissa) Iszler of Gillette, WY; his sister, Karen (Sam) Hanson of Bismarck, ND; and his seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kirby, Aaron, Scarlett, Percy, Adyn and Ivan.
Mark was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Gotthilf and Anna (Alt) Iszler and John and Edna (Vetter) Schock; his sister, Eileen Iszler; his father and mother-in-law, Milo and Donna (Yadon) Emly; and his brother-in-law, Jay Emly.
My dearest Mark, we will miss you like none other but we know that it’s your time to be re-programmed. We love and will miss you.
