Nolen Edward-Thomas Cheney passed peacefully in the arms of his family on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Sanford Children’s Hospital of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was born July 20, 2018 in Dickinson, North Dakota.

Nolen is the infant son of Thomas Cheney and Leia Cheney (Mixon). He is the answer to their prayers, and they waited for his birth with joyful expectation. During his brief visit on earth he enjoyed being held by his parents and hearing their voices. He was loved by all who met him, and will be greatly missed. His struggle and fight for life was great for his tiny size, and he captivated the hearts of all those around him for the courageous battle he fought until safely being called home by Jesus to join the Angels in Heaven.

His memory is left to forever cherish by his loving parents, Thomas and Leia Cheney; his older siblings, Thomas and Samantha Cheney; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Virginia Cheney; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Kimberly Spurgeon and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends.
Nolen gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on earth.
