It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Carol L Christensen
July 9, 1945 - May 18, 2018

Place of Birth: Seattle, Washington
Residence: Sidney, MT
Age: 72

Carol Lynn Wilhelm-Christensen passed away May 18, 2018. Carol was born July 9, 1945 in Seattle, WA to James “Jim” and Francis Johnson. She was raised and received her primary education in Sidney, MT. When she graduated from high school, she went on to obtain her Cosmetology degree in Billings, MT. She met William “Bill” Kenneth Wilhelm while there and shortly after, they were married. They had two beautiful children, Twyla and Alvin. When Bill suddenly passed away she spent her time raising her children, opening beauty shops, volunteering her time and skills at Sidney Extended Care, all the while fueling her passion for creating art.
She loved camping, her cabin, making memories of the great outdoors and lake with her family, sharing her love of art and creativity with her grandchildren, and had an undeniable love for sweets!
On April 17, 1999 she married Richard “Dick” Christensen. After retiring they spent their time living partially in Arizona as snowbirds. This gave Carol lots of free time to focus on her art. She is an honorary and accomplished member of the American Gourd Society. Her work has been showcased at the Sidney Chamber of Commerce, the Sidney Heritage Center, and the Bakken Living Magazine. She is a remarkable woman who will be missed.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents James “Jim” and Francis Johnson and her first husband William “Bill” Wilhelm.
She is survived by her husband Dick, sisters Shary Thiel and Joy (Bennett) Folstad, daughter Twyla Wilhelm, son Alvin (Lori) Wilhelm, step-children Sherry (Bob) Mayor, John (Lynn) Christensen and David (Sandy) Christensen, grandchildren Chelsie (Brett) Zadow, Taylor Munn and Austin, Preston, and Nathan Wilhelm, Step-grandchildren Ben (Lena) and Wes (Rhea) Christensen, Rachael, Michael and Joel Baumann, Chad, Sean, Stephen, and Melanie Christensen, great grandchildren Graysen and Finn Zadow, and step-great grandchildren Chloe Baumann, Byndi Sheehan, Jadyn Earles, and Molly Christensen.

Carol was one of the sweetest and most caring persons I have ever know. She was a member of our lunch group for many, many years after which she'd call me when she was in town and we'd have coffee and a roll somewhere.
Carol is resting now in the arms of her Heavenly Father and I have no doubt what so ever that she will be welcomed by Jesus into the heavenly kingdom.
Sleep well my friend and know how much we loved and love you!!!

Shary, Joy, Twyla, and all of Carol's family, So Sorry to hear that Carol has passed away. How I remember as a kid climbing up the hill to the Johnson place and playing while waiting for the mail to come. Carol, being the oldest always had me under her wing. How I missed her when the family moved to town. Later she cut my hair and we'd have a wonderful visit. May she rest in peace. With sympathy, prayers, hugs and love, Charlotte

Jimmie, Frances, Carol & Shary (Joy came later as I recall) were our closest neighbors when we lived S. of town and of course Carol was my classmate @ Newlon (along with Ron Frandsen & Gordy Simard). Every day, from 1st grade on, we met at the highway and rode the Hans Sorenson bus to school. We agreed not to get married because Carol didn't want to be a Johnson all her life :<)

They later moved close to town (to near the Lone Tree) where Jimmie had a great auto repair shop.
