December 20, 1947 - February 20, 2018

Place of Birth: Williston, North Dakota
Residence: Watford City, North Dakota
Age: 70

Dennis was born on December 20, 1947 to Frank and Bessie (Lester) Frisinger in Williston, ND. He was the youngest child joining 4 sisters and 2 brothers. They all lived together on the family farm East of Watford City. He graduated from Watford City High School in 1968. While in high school he worked at Herb Bruins’ boating center. After he graduated Herb sent him to Whapeton State where he spent one semester studying boat and motorcycle repair before he was drafted into the Marine Corps. During his time in the service he was honored with a National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1970 and came back to Watford City.

In 1980 Dennis was introduced to Lucy by friends, Larry and Colleen Kling. At that time he was bailing straw and working in the oil field. They fell in love and were married in 1981 and moved to the farm. After a nine year wait, together they had a Christmas blessing in 1990 when a beautiful baby boy named Douglas came into their life. Dennis loved being a dad and father to his boy.

He enjoyed spending time with his parrots, Holly and Buddy. Dennis loved spending time with his son Douglas and they shared a passion for helicopters. Although he never received his pilot license due to medical issues; he owned two personal helicopters. Dennis was able to acquire a small one seater plane in which he had a successful take off but had an unfortunate landing. He made his own jerky and salted cured ham, most of all he enjoyed fishing, visiting, and telling jokes with friends and family.

Preceded in death by his father Frank and Mother Bessie (Lester) Frisinger of Watford City, ND; his brother Franklin Frisinger of Guymon , OK ; Sister Lottie Rolla of Watford City, ND
