Joyce Luella Barnett was born March 18, 1942 in Minot, ND to Mildred & Moses Barnett. She was raised and attended school in Berthold, ND. Joyce was united in marriage to Alvin Neether on August 22, 1957 in Stanley, ND. Together they had four children, Ethel, Diane, Jerry, and Jodi. They farmed, ranched, and milked cows in Clearwater Township.

Joyce worked in various cafés before purchasing their famous Joyce’s Café which they had for 35 years and passed it on to her grandson and wife. They retired in 2006 and spent their winters in Bullhead City, AZ. Alvin passed away in 2009. Joyce continued to live in Stanley and Arizona. She enjoyed her trips to the casino, reading, exercising, puzzles, cooking, and baking. Her favorite pastime was taking care of her three poodles, Joe, Fancy, and Bridgett.
Joyce had a great sense of humor and will be remembered as a hard working lady and will be greatly missed.

Joyce is survived by her children, Diane Hodson, Dickinson, ND, Jodi Uran, Stanley, ND, Ethel Neether, Bullhead City, AZ; grandkids, Cory (Jamie) Rice, Stanley, ND, Holly (Craig) Jeter, Manassas, VA, Kris (Amy) Olson, St. George, UT, Jerrald (Stacy) Olson, Youngstown, OH, Misty Uran, Dickinson, ND, Brittney Uran, Fargo, ND, Cody (Brittney) Uran, Rapid City, SD, Quentin Uran, Wahpeton, ND, Josh Uran, Stanley, ND; great grandkids, Jayd, Mason, Kendall, and Kaelee Rice, Ce’Andre, Jaylen, and Aaliyah Wilhoit, Bridget Hodson, Joey Price, AJ, and Charlie Olson, Kayle, Kayden, and Keilona Uran; siblings, Dorothy (Maurice) Allshouse, Donny Barnett, Gary (Dayle Anne) Barnett, and Ray (Edith) Barnett.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; son, Jerry; grandson, Donnie; parents, Mildred and Moses; brothers, sisters, and many beloved poodles.
