Jamison "Jamie" Lloyd Wahlstrom
January 13, 1991 - June 4, 2017

Place of Birth: Williston, ND
Residence: Rural Alexander, ND and Billings, MT
Age: 26

Jamison “Jamie” Wahlstrom, 26, of rural Alexander, ND, passed away early Sunday morning, June 4, 2017 of injuries sustained in a car accident near Cartwright, ND. Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Williston is assisting the family.

Jamison “Jamie” Lloyd Wahlstrom was born to Denise (Dahl) and Craig Wahlstrom on January 13, 1991 at Mercy Medical Center in Williston, ND. Jamie passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 in a tragic vehicle accident near Cartwright, ND.

Jamie attended kindergarten through 7th grade at Alexander Public School and 8th through 12th grade at Watford City High School. He grew up on the family farm and ranch, north of Alexander. As soon as he was old enough to drive a tractor, he was baling and running the hydro-swing. Jamie played baseball, football, and basketball and participated in the Alexander Robotics program and in the Watford City FFA. He loved to hunt deer and pheasant, and camp in sub-zero temps with his friend Sam. He graduated in 2009 and then went on to work for Nabors Drilling and Pioneer Drilling, working on the rigs. Jamison most recently worked for Petroleum Experience out of Williston, ND. He worked two weeks on, two weeks off, living in Billings, MT on his days off, where he enjoyed spending time with the friends who became his second family.

Jamie spent his days off motorcycling, snowboarding, hunting, and traveling with friends. Jamie also loved working on the family farm and ranch whenever he could, helping with cattle, haying, and harvesting. He was a wonderful uncle, spending many days on the farm, riding with his favorite co-pilots, Reese and Porter. His pride and joy was his Cummins diesel pickup. Jamie and his brothers were best friends, talking on the phone almost every day. He loved his friends like brothers and he was a best friend to many. Whenever his buddies opened Snapchat, there was sure to be some killer ones from Jamie. He had an endless supply of memes. Jamison was a fiercely loyal friend, and could always be counted on to bring his signature smile, and of course many jokes and “one-liners”. He was brutally honest, and no one ever had to guess what he was thinking. He lived his life fully, his way. After the day was done, when everyone could have a cold beverage in hand, he could be counted on to keep everyone laughing and be the life of the party. He will be greatly missed by his family, relatives, and friends.

Jamison is survived by his parents, Craig and Denise (Dahl) Wahlstrom of rural Alexander, ND; brother, Cameron (Lacy) Wahlstrom and their two children, Reese and Porter of rural Alexander, ND; brother, Sheldon (Jenna) Wahlstrom of Estes Park, CO; grandparents, Pat Dahl of Mitchell, SD, John Wahlstrom of Williston, ND, and Katy Wahlstrom of Alexander, ND; uncles, Shawn (Cindy) Dahl of Berthoud, CO and their sons Mathew and Tim; Rodney Wahlstrom, of rural Alexander and his children Zachary, Kaylee, and Chase (Tiffany) and their children Ricky and Connor; aunts, Maurita Aubrey of Jefferson, IA and her children Jordan and Colton, Renae Riggins of Alexander, ND and her son JL (Holly) and their children Kennedy and Cannon, and Lynette (Kurt) Stoner of Williston, ND and their children Garrett and Abby; cousins, (sons of the late Mark Wahlstrom) Shane (Abrianna) Wahlstrom and daughter Navy, and Quinn Wahlstrom; and his numerous close friends.

Jamie was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lloyd Dahl, and uncle and godfather, Mark Wahlstrom.

Denise and family,
I am at a loss for words. I am so sorry for the loss of your precious son. You always spoke so often about your boys when we worked together at Mercy. Your love for them was so obvious, so true. He was blessed to be born into a family like yours - and you were blessed to have gotten him for 26 years. Although I am sure you are not feeling "blessed" right now, but you will see him again - this time for eternity. Hang on tight to your faith, family, and friends.....

Denise, Craig and family.
I can find no words to try and ease the pain you all must be feeling. The memories of the joy that you all shared will not dissipate with time. His life is in every piece of farm equipment that he used, on every field that he broke ground and in every smile that he shared with you. I hope that each of you will find peace as you look at these things and memories during this time of healing. May God's arms hold you close. Much love!

Words cannot express our sorrow for your family.
Jamison stayed with us while visiting WA. We so
enjoyed our time, and tho it was brief; he touched
our lives. Psalms 34:18 "The Lord is close to the
brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We are praying continually for your family.

Please know your family has been sincerely in our hearts and prayers. We got to meet Jamison when he came to visit with Austin a few summers back to the Pacific Northwest. He was so overjoyed to see the open waters of the puget sound, it was truly a highlight for him. It shows his excitement for life that he saw the beauty in something we here take for granted. I got to see it through his eyes and it made me further appreciate it more. Thank you for that. God has your beautiful soul now and every time I look out onto the water we will think of you. Love always, Jaisa and Dan hudson. (Austins sister)
