Kenneth Bugbee, 89, of Tioga, ND, passed away at the Tioga Medical Center surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

Kenneth (Kenny) Bugbee was born September 29, 1927 to Frank and Millie (Sottendahl) Bugbee on a farm in Sherbook township of Steele County North Dakota. He helped his dad on the farm until he was 17 when he convinced his parents to sign for him so he could join the Navy in 1944. He was transferred to the Seabee's and joined the 144th NCB on their way to Attu in the Aleutian Islands. He was honorably discharged in 1946.

On July 27, 1949 he married Donna Mannie from Tolna, North Dakota. In 1952 they moved to Tioga where he worked in the oil fields for two years before being hired by Signal Oil & Gas at their new gas processing plant at Tioga in 1954 where he remained for over 36 years. Kenny was also a licensed electrician in the Tioga area all those years, meeting people and making lifelong friends. Friends that know him well, will tell you what a passion he had for fishing and was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, two of his sisters and his son Bruce.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Donna, daughter Delora Hartsoch of Gillette WY, sons Ronny and wife Sandy from Germantown, MD, David and Anna from North Richland Hills, TX, Leslie and wife Julia from Marana, AZ, Curtis and wife Natalie from Tioga, ND. Also 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Besides Kenny being blessed by his family, he was also blessed by the start of a relationship with Jesus when he was 45 years old. Reading the Bible and devotionals as well as enjoying Christian music brought great joy and comfort to his life.
